Great food, beautiful location - but sites are limited!

What an amazing little gem of a place! A former resort, now home to just 12 full hook up RV sites, a couple of cabins, and an amazing supper club that opens at 5:00 daily. On the shores of Big Stone Lake. A nice beach and a boat landing. There are normally no open sites, we are told, as they are…

  • Come by boat!
  • a beautiful patio at the supper club
  • can’t resist the sunset photo on Big Stone Lake

It’s great, $25 per spot tent/camper

Nice location, by the water with playgrounds for kids. Clean bathrooms. Shady spots. It is however by the road so you’ll hear vehicles driving by all day/all night.

Nice facility

Sites are nicely spaced on the west side. There are two separate areas. Only the east side has a dump site. Some sites on the west area are rather sharply angled. Well-maintained. Friendly staff.

  • Awesome sunset view from our site!
  • Does it get any better than this?
  • Yes, it does!

Wonderful Campground

Wonderful campground! Very well kept with the grass cut and shower/bath houses cleaned and maintained often. Everyone is very friendly from the staff to the fellow campers. Sites are available on a first come basis and sites are usually available during the week but fills up by the weekend…

Fine place to stay

Located on Lake Kampeska near Watertown off I-29 in eastern SD. We stayed on site 1 which is a long pull thru with a distant view of the sizeable lake. There are about 70 non-reservable sites all with W/E (50A), a couple of playgrounds, one dumpstation, a boat launch and an impressive Veterans…
