Nicely tucked away spot

We stayed one evening when traveling thru. Had a hard time finding a spot open (and with bathrooms) after October 1st! Called ahead to confirm and Matthew was very helpful answering questions and confirming availability before making other travel plans. Park had a pub to eat and watch some football.

Awesome

Tyler, Johnny, are great hard working young men. We  are forever grateful for their help. We will be customers for future trips. The campgrounds are awesome. Clean, well maintained. The food is excellent, our servers were very nice, friendly and just very good at their jobs. They are a work in process, but it’s coming along great. You won’t go wrong staying at WILD BILLS CAMPGROUNDS. THANKS AGAIN from Chico and Lynn.

Wouldn’t Stay Here, Unfortunately

Arrived at this campground, our reservation was not on file- we thought it strange but seeing as few other people were staying there it was no issue picking almost any site. The staff were very kind and accommodating, however contrary to many reviews, the bathrooms were very unclean and not kept up well and the campsites were mostly unlevel and laid out with electric/water in a way that placed RVs too close to firepits. Mostly due to the bathroom/shower situation we decided to move on and had much better luck at the local KOA. I hope this was just a bad day of housekeeping for this site, however the facilities were not at an acceptable level to depend on.

Thank you for your review Saarah P. We still do not have any bookings, nor do we have any receipts/tracking or confirmations for your reservation. The time that you left this review, we were actually closed for the season (aside from a private group that rents the entire property). Great little site

The staff were very accommodating they delivered our firewood to our site because we had no room in our car. They gave us an awesome site. If you are wanting a very quiet campsite this one is probably not for you, there was a lot of traffic coming in and out but it really didnt bother us. They do have a little restaurant on site so you can grab something to eat. The showers were nice and clean would recommend. They also have good wifi so a+

Hidden gem near Deadwood

This little camp is not mentioned in the Deadwood promotional booklet and that's just fine with us! It was not crowded, but busy. Nestled between 2 streams and the tall pines of the Black Hills, we stayed 3 nights with our 3 dogs. It has everything you need, though the 50 amp sites are back-in, not pull thru. The bar and grill is popular with local ATVers and serves great hamburgers and a good selection of craft beers.

They also sell wood for campfires at a reasonable cost.

Our dogs loved the long walks around the campground, crossing over the creeks on the little bridges. There is an off leash dog park 10 minutes away in Lead, SD. Not ADA compliant, built on a steep hill with no paved walkway or stairs or hand rails, but the dogs loved it.

The wifi is iffy and the cell phone service is spotty at best, so bring DVDs to watch when you are not out enjoying the sites and activities.

15 minutes from Deadwood and Lead, 1 hour from Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial (a must see!).

Awesome Campground

What a hidden gem of a place! Easy to find, very close to Deadwood, clean showers and bathrooms and it has a bar a grill! Bar and grill was so good and I’m still dreaming about that burger. Has a shuttle to get you into Deadwood if you aren’t able to drive. The campground has such variety of big rig spots, tent spots, pop up spots, and everything in between. Even has dry and wet cabins available for rent. Cute little stream that runs through the campground. Met the owners that are in it together as a family. Highly recommend this place whether you are passing through the black hills or visiting Deadwood. Can’t wait to go back to this place and explore more!
