Nice campground

Great for kids. Kayak rentals. Playground and beach area. Bike paths. Limited mature trees. Mostly smaller trees. State Park with entrance fee. Roomy sites with electric only. Dump station. Quite a few bugs here. A few cabins available.

Wonderful park

Everyone here at this park was really nice. We had camper trouble and they were able to help us. The sites were spacious and clean.

An Oasis in the middle of nothing

Site was flat and easy to use. Shade is limited but there are some less mature trees that will eventually make this campsite fantastic. Park staff wasn’t very helpful, didn’t give us a map or any information about the area. Camp fees DO NOT include park entry

Spacious Campsite on the Water!

This campsite was a wonderful stop for us on our way home from our road trip. You can book these campsites online, but there were plenty of spaces available if you don’t have cellphone service. You do have to pay to enter the recreation area in addition to paying for your campsite. The campsites were spacious with well kept restroom facilities. I only wish we could have spent a few more nights so that we could enjoy the beach. I feel like this would b the perfect stop for families!

Beautiful spacious campground

We stayed here 2 nights in September and rode motorcycle through the Badlands/Custer State Park during the day. Few trees, but the newly planted ones will soon offer more shade. Very roomy sites so you’re not right on top of each other. Camped along the river- fishing/swimming access right from the campsite. Hands down best shower/bathroom facilities I’ve ever seen in a state park. We have a small enclosed trailer, so was nice to have electric. Always haul our water- good as none on site. Dump station and water in park, but not at sites.

Very well kept.

The lawns are very well maintained. The shower and bathrooms are impeccable. The beach and playgrounds are great. Shade is a commodity very hard to find. However, in about fifteen years ample trees have been planted that this problem should be corrected. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Great kIckback park because little else to do. Water is only at dump station, the shower house, or two hydrants located in the park. A great one nighter.

Nice spacious campsite

Our scouts stopped here on the way back to Montana. Nice quiet campground with plenty of room. Great shower facilities.
