Dog run and convenient

Unable to reserve online for same night. Called and assured space available never asked name, etc. Luckily the spot was near back of campground with very short walk to stunning view. All sites gravel with picnic tables. Sites are close together but due to early Oct, they tried to park RVs every other space in middle of campground. Many long term residents around outsides of park. 2 small Dog runs in front; grass dog walking area in back. Next to Fort Hays, home of $0.99 cowboy pancake breakfast and Dances with Wolves film set. Convenient as Mt Rushmore is only 20 miles & 36 miles to Crazy Horse Memorial. Extremely clean toilet and bath house!!

Stranded

They left me stranded because I have a Doberman….and no trailer brakes. Single female traveler!

Month of VisitAugust

First off it’s September. Your camper left you stranded not us. I see by your next review you stayed right down the street. You called this evening wanting a site for tonight, I told you we have availability but don’t accept aggressive bread dogs at which point you stated you have one and your trailer brakes are messed up then hung up on me before I could tell you I’d let you stay, your bad all the way around. There are dozens of other campgrounds open right now within 5 miles of this one, maybe their insurance doesn’t stop them from having aggressive breed dogs on their property.

Wait until renovations are done before staying here

Unbeknownst to us most of the park is torn up and being renovated. They never contacted us to let us know there wont be laundry, bathrooms or showers available. Not to mention everything is torn up, literally. Almost all of the sites that were open were full-time residents, with about maybe 5 sites for renters. Alot of money for what we got. Very disappointed.

Sites so close its like RV Storage!

Only more expensive. Sites very close-- and neighbors a self-storage site, so you really feel you may be in storage. Go to the back of the campground and views are breathtaking.
