This KOA just north of the Iowa border is first class. ! Friendly staff and perfect for kiddos. The pool and adventure area are right up your alley if traveling with kids.
Great staff and extremely clean Campground. Pull through sites. Clean lake with boating. Private lake so no fishing license required.
This is a nice, quiet campground. We enjoyed river fishing while we were here. There is a swimming beach just a short drive away too. Some lots are nice sized. Others seemed a little tight. They are electric only.

It is really obvious that these folks put a lot of thought and effort into this park. Big lake for swimming and fishing. Concrete pads and nice new picnic tables. We were greater by an awesome host who gave us some welcome gifts. Keep in mind, this is an RV park, not a campground. Sites are…
We stayed on the west side, great location. Clean and new.
This campground is very spacious with nice trails to walk/bike. The lots are electric only, but are nicely spaced. There are fishing docks, and a swim beach. It has a basketball court, a soccer area, and some playground equipment for the kids. We camped at site 63, West Midway.

The campground is easy to find if you take highway 81 south from Yankton and then turn right onto 121 west. The signage is easy to miss, but right where 121 makes a bend to the left, the road down to the Tailwaters campground departs on your right and descends down to the river. All the sites are…
We decided to stay at this campground because it was close to Falls Park. It’s 4 miles away from the KOA to Downtown. It wasn’t crowded, very clean, met lots of Texans and the pet areas were awesome! In fact, Sioux Falls is a very dog-friendly city and was able to take my dog everywhere! The…

Stayed a night in March at the east campground. We stayed at the west campground a week earlier. We were by ourselves which was great. We got the largest site and it felt a little more private than the others, but still pretty open. Vault toilets were very clean - it was March. They likely don’t…
This was a nice campground. Typical RV style sites. Not a lot of trees so you can see all the other campers. We stayed here the end of March so it was very quiet. We stayed on the lake at site 13. It’s a small lake. Very quiet and dark.
A lot of places in Iowa are closed to camping until April or even May. I looked west and quickly found this. There are areas of the park that are "closed for winter", but I was able to find a primitive spot for an overnight to get out and enjoy the rebound from the subzero weather of the previous…
We stayed here at site 69 E for one night in August 2020. Nice, clean campground with partial shade in some sites. The campground was fairly empty, but there were many families enjoying the lake on Sunday afternoon. Good stopover site on way to black hills.
Stone State Park, Sioux City, Iowa
End of a not to long day driving across Iowa......corn, lotsa corn! We stopped at Dolliver Memorial State Park for a hike about midday, it looked a bit better taken care of then Stone SP.
This is basically a small primitive campground with electric added to…

Ok- I just did a quick little hang here for an hour during a snowstorm - one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen.
Large picnic area, with grills, vaulted toilet close by, a cute little secluded picnic area with fire ring off to the side, and a paved trail to the rec area.
