Beautiful primitive campground I almost don't want to tell anyone about

$4 individual primitive site

Note: if you cannot sleep to the sound of trains at night, this is not the campground for you. I don't mind them at all, and rather enjoy the sound, but there were probably three of them that went by in the middle of the night rather close to the campground. There's a…

Tom’s Campground

Nice rural setting, peaceful and nice scenery. Showers could be updated and it does cost 25 cents for a 7 minute shower. Camping sites reasonably priced only take cash or a check. Would have no problems staying there again.

Nice spot for tent camping

Was in site 20. Nice spot for tent camping and enough room from each neighbor.

love views and sunsets?

It's up on top of Blackhawk mountain and they have full service, fireworks at nite all summer and parties go on alot. Lot of seasonal regulars that drive around in golf carts! Everyone is a friend. Adults only gated community clothing optional! 5 🌟

Fun state park

A nice state park. Clean bathrooms with showers. Good sized site with nice privacy. Good hiking around the lake and mostly dog friendly. Nice play ground with horse she pits.

Nice quite lake

I can not tell you how many times I’ve been here. My son lives within seconds of here so it is very convenient. They gave on site bathrooms and showers. Electric, water and sewer hookups. They also have tent sites. This season there will be née owners so I hope they keep some of the annual…

Nice camp ground but $$

It’s a nice campground. They have everything from just electrical hook up to full hookup to drive through spots. The pool and bath house is very nice. You can rent a golf cart too. It is a bit in the expensive side for the area but it is nice and we go with some friends 1 or 2 times a year. The …

RV/Mobile Home Campground with lots to do

I did not stay at this campground, but drove through it to see the place. I was looking for tent campsites and if there are any, they were under the tires of an RV. There are lots of things to do here, but tent camping is not one of them. I have nothing bad or good to say about the place, just…

RV campground with lake access

I did not stay here, but I spend some time walking through to get a feel for the place.

This is primarily an RV/mobile home campground, but there are some nicely tucked away tent camp sites that I'll recommend later in this review. Gravel roads connect the three loops and the landscaping is…

Close to Madison, not much else going for it

This state park is conveniently close to Madison, Wisconsin. It has some decent sites, and while I didn't actually stay in this park overnight, my visit and drive through the entire park revealed that there isn't much going for it. The beach isn't particularly nice and the lake looked pretty weedy;…

Secluded Hike-in Tent Campsites on the Kish

This is where to go if you don't like pitching a tent in a field of RVs. There is one wheelchair accessible tent site on a blacktop path in the forest canopy. This is a very primative campground with 1 set of Vault toilets. The other campsites require a walk/hike along a gravel path for completely…

Great Place

Not a lot of spaces but very nice place... Free wood for your stay. Great hosts. Mature trees. Good trails. Nice restrooms (Showers = 5 min for 50 cents). Nice wooden play structure.

Great weekend trip

This was our first time staying at the Milton KOA. I have had my eye on this location the last couple of years since it is under 2 hours from our house and appeared to have good amenities. The sites were of decent size, some smaller than others and some very generous sites. I would recommend…
