Nice park

Stayed at park while traveling through the area. Needed an overnight place to stay. Several miles from highway. Place was quiet with large lots. Potable water and dump station available. Electric only on lots. Showers and restrooms available. Park surrounded by farm fields with geese landing all around. Decent place.

Quiet county park

Very quiet campground. Plenty of open space. You can see where they are making some sites bigger for the modern large campers. Electric only but fill up with potable water at the entrance. Showers clean and hot.

Small, clean

A small campground right on Beaver Dam Lake. There's a boat launch but no beach. Bathrooms have showers and are very clean. It's not a bad spot for a weekend fishing trip.

If it was not windy and snowing

I’d say Derge Park is one of those get out of town but not of town parks. It right next to Beaver Lake. Witch is a great fishing lake. Or just to kayak. The boat launch is right across the park. There are not a lot of sites inside and out side bathroom with showers

Open grassy area near fishing and boating lake

This place surprised me. It’s relatively close to town and yet it’s miles down a dead end road so it’s really quiet. The host was super nice. Friendly welcomes are the best! The sites are large and open. We were here when it was empty so filled sites might make a different experience.

Sites have electric and there is a dump station so it’s set up for RVs but there is space for tents too. Flushing toilets and showers were an unexpected treat.

The lake is just across the road so bring your fishing gear or canoe. There is a small park by the shore but not really any place to walk my dog. We did laps and Dakota was perfectly happy.

This place is worth a stop if you want a quiet spot to enjoy life.
