  Herbester is on the shores of Lake Superior, its a beautiful campground. It's smaller with a little of every type of camping. From tent, rv hook ups and right on the water.

  Old school camping fun

  This is a huge campground. It feels like a true old-school “campground” not an rv resort or even an RV park. The kind of campground you loved as a kid. It is hilly with mature trees, although not every site has shade. It is very family friendly. There are RV sites, cabins, tent sites and park models. A lot of long term people live here. The sites are grassy or gravel and are very roomy and level. Lots of activities for the kids…basketball, horseshoes, volleyball, sizeable pool, and playground. This place is older but very clean. Very friendly staff. The lake is absolutely stunning. Snag a spot with a lake view if you can! (See map pic). 1-2 bars on AT+T.

  Great value as a TT member

  This campground came to us through Thousand Trails Collection.  At first we only had a W/E site and later was able to move to a full hook up site.  All sites has a gravel pad with a grass yard, fire ring, and picnic table.  The fire rings are sunk completely into the ground for some reason.  The lots were spacious and the property offered a large pool, hot tub, restrooms, showers, laundry room, fishing and canoeing.  This is a pet friendly park.

  Treeland Farm RV Resort

  A lovely little retreat

  After an unfortunate start to a holiday weekend at a KOA site we blindly booked, were left with our camper, 3 anxious dogs & nowhere to go . The KOA was kid central, noisy, overly crowded, & the campers & RVs packed on top of each other like sardines. My worst RV Park nightmare! I panicked & randomly called Treeland RV Resort , blindly once again. The phone # listed rings the maim resort . The RV Park is located right across the street. They kindly transferred me & I was greeted with the very lovely Susan. She was phenomenal from the beginning. I asked if they happened to have any openings for a pull thru or back in site. It was a Saturday on Memorial Day weekend..& she didn’t laugh at me! She was happy to announce that they did indeed happen to have a cancellation & she’d gladly hold the spot for us !! Hallelujah! About 45 minutes later we pulled in to the park.. we knew instantly this was going to be amazing. We just knew.. ya know? It had a cute red barn office & we immediately noticed how immaculate & thoughtful the landscape & aesthetic is. Susan was just as lovely in person. She gave us our site info , calmed our nerves & told us to get situated at our site & then we could come back to the office at our leisure & finish the paperwork. Wowza! We found our site & we were not disappointed at all. In fact just blown away! Tucked away from our neighbor just enough to have plenty of space for us & the pups but without being completely segregated. There is a playground & heated pool , but it’s just far enough away to not be heard at all but a quick walk to get to if you so desire. Nooks of trees for privacy & a hammock, lots of green grass & a cement area & a well cared for picnic table & bonfire pit & grill. The pull thru gravel driveway at our site was ample & level. All the hook ups were neatly & conveniently ready for lift off. No fuss no muss.

  This place goes on & on with quaint little touches. It was welcoming from the very beginning phone call & the people who run this place are incredible, helpful, thoughtful & just plain kind. Susan & her hubby Mike are fantastic.. we can’t say enough about them. Everyone & everything was quite literally perfect. I don’t get to say that often . The dogs were welcomed with open arms too! There were plenty of trails & things for them to see & do.

  We were there 3 full days & just barely began to scratch the surface!

  So looking forward to going back!!

  Russell Memorial Park

  Beautiful lake/creek front

  The camp has a lot of long term sites on the waterfront so getting on one usually gets you into spring and camping. The waterfront has mostly electric only sites and run very close to size. We have a 28 5th wheel and we're snug. Site said 25 ft but the picture had a 5'er on it so we booked it. The back sites are ATV/UTV site. They have good access to the trails. They seem a bit bigger. I've seen a few toy haulers back there. There are a few full hookup in the center of the campground but not many. The shower and restrooms were clean. There are larger sites just not all waterfront. We like to travel too much to have a permanent site yet, so we try to come spring and fall here

  Great RV Park, Centrally Located

  Our recent stay at Egg Harbor Campground and RV Resort was excellent! The park is well-maintained and kept up, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the sites are excellent by many standards. The park is very quiet, which is a welcome treat.

  They are uniquely situated just outside of Egg Harbor, with plenty of the local attractions within minutes of the park. Trolley Tours, Local Farmer's Markets, Local Wineries, and many other attractions are close by. They are centrally located on the peninsula which makes it perfect to see the rest of the county within a 45-minute drive.

  I give Egg Harbor Campground and RV Resort a ***** FIVE STAR RATING ***** a must for RVers!

  Wyalusing State Park Campground

  Wisconsin's Gem

  This is an amazing park on the Wisconsin/Iowa border, overlooking where the Wisconsin and Mississippi rivers join. I usually try to get in at least 1 trip a year, if lucky enough 2-3. Amazing park with great views, camping, hiking, canoeing/kayaking. Very clean restrooms and showers, tent and trailer camping. If you are lucky enough to get a site on the ridge you won't be disappointed.

  Pettits Lakeview Campground & Bar

  If you're an RV camper, this place has a nice beach

  I didn't stay here but I did walk through the place to get to know it. This is an RV campground, I did not see any places for tent camping. 

  There is a nice playground and four sand volleyball courts. Staying in the campground allows for easy lake access. Be warned, do not park a car/boat trailer and take off in the lake, they're serious about towing non-campers. 

  This campground caters to RVs, mobile homes, permanent dwellings and semi-permanent RVs parked to stay. RV hookups with electrical and water/ sewer.

  The large sandy beach has lots of space, easy access to both the water and a bar and grill with outdoor seating and lots of umbrellas. The beach features a few beach games and a small amount of seating on the sand. Not many trees for shade, RVs are parked out in the open and would be hot in the summer.

  Very RV resort style - pretty close together sites and not a lot of privacy . There are some sites in the back loop that seem more spacious and secluded! The lakeside sites have great views though! And nice showers. We were passing thru and the FCFS campgrounds were all full so this was a fine option close to Bayfield!

  Glen Hills Park Campground

  There are three campgrounds in this park. Peninsula is the one with electric and is good and bad. The site really matters. We haven't been lucky when picking ours, though in fairness we've waited until the last minute to grab sites. Site 12 is wide open and you are on top of your neighbor. However, other sites look much better. There are also camping cabins in this campground.

  Really like the Picnic Point campground for tent or small trailer camping. Newer shower building here as well. 

  Cell service is spotty at best.

  Very nice place to camp. Quite and friendly. Small but accommodates all types of campers. Has 30 and 50 Amp hookups. Tenting up to cabin, they have two. My second year long term camping here. On the edge of the city and close to everything.

  Friendly staff but very rustic

  Overall our stay was pleasant the campground is very rustic facilities on premise could definitely use some TLC. We stayed in a pull through site which was decent. Campground overall was very quiet mainly seasonal or long term sites.

  This KOA, bought by new owners, was a great overnight! Clean bathrooms/showers, nice pool, long-level gravel sites, full hook ups, nice town, nice camp store, super nice owner! Would absolutely stay again! Even have a few tent camping sites

  Blackhawk Camping Resort

  Enjoyable weekend with friends

  It has been quite some time since the last time we visited Blackhawk. They appear to have entered the thousand trail system of membership since our last visit. The campground has plenty of amenities to keep you busy with a beautiful lake you can walk to. They have a boat launch but we did not take our kayaks with us on this trip. We reserved a water/electric site and utilized the dump station on our way out. Lines were not too bad for the dump station which was good. Sites were of decent size and fairly quiet. We did have an evening where we heard what I believe was a race track in the distance but was not able to confirm. This was a quick weekend trip with some additional family members so we did not fully partake in the planned activities as we spent most of our time at camp. We will definitely visit this campground again as we have used the lake in the past and had a great time over all.

  Northern Lights Campground — Devils Lake State Park

  3 Day Weekend Paradise!

  Due to the popularity of the park we had to have 2 different sites during our time there - but this was not an issue as they were very close together and moving was a breeze! All sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and flat space for your tent - there are also electrical sites for RV hookups.

  There is so much to do at this park! From the crystal clear waters of the lake itself to the hikes along the rock overlooks, you won’t be bored! There are kayaks and canoes and paddle boats to rent at the lake along with a little shop/restaurant that makes the area feel like a mini National Park! Some of the trails connect to the Ice Age Trail that runs throughout WI. Make sure you get to Balanced Rock!

  We had such a great time, we’ve already planned a second trip for this summer!

  Sandstone Ridge Campground — Mirror Lake State Park

  Lush Oasis

  We stopped here while driving to Michigan. It’s super lush. The water and dump station was super clean. Firewood is available. The lake was not very clear and had a lot of plants growing, but it was still nice to take a dip. Extremely large spaces made the rv parking easy EXCEPT that the electrical receptacle was very far in the back of the camping spot. We had to back all the way in to make the chord reach. I don’t think the RV spots would make very nice places to tent camp.

  Also want to add that there was plenty of privacy between the spaces.

  Nice views, sites alright

  Beautiful area, sites are situated with the terrain which can make them interesting to get into. They're gravel and mostly level. Good wifi which is purchased separately. Full hook ups and friendly staff.

  Lake Chippewa Campground

  Great campground all around

  Located on the Chippewa flow-age in north west Wisconsin, this is a beautiful campground with lots of available activities. Full hook-up and pull through sites are available. Prices are reasonable ($48.00/night). Pets are allowed on a leash.

  Will definitely stay there again.

  Christmas Mountain Village Campground

  Christmas in Summer but I think I will skip the WInter.

  This is a member resort but they do allow the public in.  We went in as Coast to Coast members.  This is an all season resort it does have a ski hill and accommodations for winter.  You can buy a condo resort, Lease a Time Share, buy a camping site ( with a Park Model on it,  Camp in a Motor Home, Trailer or Tent.  You can camp with full hook ups or as they call it the Wilderness Camping, they have some with 110 hook ups.  

  Facilities are very nice and clean, Swimming Pool, Club House with a lot of things to do. The sites are nice and big most are either pull through or large back in sites.  They also have an 18 holes golf course, since we don't golf really don't know how it is.

  They have some WIFi but it is best at the club house the hotspots worked better.

  If you would like to  visit Wisconsin Dells this is a great place as it is not very far from downtown and all the activities.  We spent 2 days exploring the Dells even in rain.  Had a great time.  

  If you are in the area I would check it out.

  Fair Hill County Campground - Temp Closed

  Unique Campground

  We camped in our 42 ft motor home with jeep tow. Reservations are made online. There is also an on-site kiosk with pay envelopes. The Fairgrounds has done extensive work on their campground with at least 16 full hook up fifty amp sites and 16 electric only sites. The area is grass but we were the only campers and were able to easily level with angle parking. Camping is not available during events so check the Fairgrounds calendar. Being on the campground and amidst the buildings and tents makes for an interesting camping experience. Restrooms and showers are available and as you are at the Fairgrounds, the facilities are farm-type. There is WiFi for an extra few (there is also a library nearby with free WiFi!) There are lots of great places to exercise your four legged camper and we would certainly return if in the area!

  Goose Island

  Can’t miss County camping on the Mississippi

  This camp South of Lacrosse Wisconsin is a great family or road tripping camp. Goose Island has very friendly staff and a nice little camp supply store at the entrance where you can also purchase firewood in two sizes of tubes. You’ll need a way to haul the wood to your site. We tent camp so we choose nonpowered sites away from the RV’s. The website refers to the camp as being on the backwater of the Misssippi. What ever it is, it is beautiful and right on the water. Bring the bug spray for the evening becasue the mosquitoes do come out in force. The camp facilities are clean and convenient. There is a small children’s playground and a small swimming area also. The camp was relatively busy in the powered RV area but clean and quite thoughout. It looked like there were some long term RV campers by the looks of their set up. You won’t regret staying at Goose Island.

  Sky High Camping Resort

  Took a tour of Sky Haven on a whim. Talk about full service camping! They have everything here- tent sites, RV sites, cabins, nightly, weekly, and long term rates. Frisbee golf, mini golf, a "mining" site, go carts, game room, showers, laundry. It was pretty overwhelming as I don't camp this way. But for a family gathering or reunion, or a big trip, this could be just right for you. Rates were reasonable for all the services you get. I liked the views since the place is up on top of a "mountain".  The staff was really friendly and welcoming and answered every silly question of mine with a smile. Not my camping jam, but definitely nice.
