I am giving this place 4 stars, even though this didn’t truly reflect my experience. I’ll start with the good.
Stoney Creek is an incredibly well-groomed rv resort that I have already enthusiastically recommended to a friend who has an rv and a young family. The amenities are amazing. Chlorinated…

This is a small state park in terms of overall number of campsites, but its network of hiking and horseback riding trails is extensive. What makes this state park particularly interesting from a camping perspective are the walk-in(or cart in) sites. There are 12 sites you can't drive to, and the…
Cushon’s Peak has so much to offer. It’s a beautiful campground with river access on a nice beach, and hiking galore. I’ve hiked all over the bluff known as Cushon’s Peak and it has easy parts and challenging areas. And although the entire vertical climb is probably going to be less than an hour if…

If you want a secluded no amenities experience, this is your place. The bluff hike was cool, the beach was ok and very small. Lots of train traffic and flights due to the nearby military base. The lake/pond is right on the road which makes for an odd experience. The site was clean but only had…
What a wonderful campground! Bathrooms and showers are very clean!! We set up our tent right by a beautiful river. Paid around $23
Great CG, roomie sites, clean, and plenty of amenities
We love the trails here in BRF. this place is a great place for a base camp.
Stayed at a group site for an extended weekend. Decent beach area, but had to deal with a lot of biting flies.

Our spot was right on a corner and made for difficult parking and lots of traffic. But the campground was large with available space last minute and the view was great.
This is our first Wisconsin state park camping experience. This place is lovely! Nice and secluded. Our site is spacious. Nice deep fire ring with a grill grate. Really close to the river, as well. Yes… the trains do go by quite a bit, but it really hasn’t bothered us. Beautiful tall trees, clean…

Not a lot of flat area. But great place to camp
Hiking trails were difficult but offered amazing views. Sites were spacious and spaced out.
A lot of the activities are designed for 12 and younger. Many of the spots are seasonal. The adult staff are friendly and helpful the younger staff especially boys could care less what you need and act as though you are the burden upon their life. The campground is extremely clean and well kept.…
A comfortable experience that was simple and not to far off the Beaton path
