The interior sites are a little cramped and may not accommodate larger RVs; however, the access to Lake Michigan more than makes up for it. There is a really cool dog park on the beach. While not something I typically look for in a review, the dump sites are new and excellent.
We've stayed at 209 and 227 here... Both are nice and close to pit toilets and a short walk to modern bathroom facilities. This park has lots of beach, lots of forest, and a beautiful marsh area. Highly recommended!
Hickory Oaks was amazing! Cindy called to check on us because we were arriving late. They even delivered wood to our campsite so we could have a fire. We saw so much wildlife! Chipmunks, ducks, a great horned owl, and countless birds to name a few. Our campsite was shaded all throughout the day,…

With the recent popularity of camping most of the weekend dates are well booked out but our family was able to take some time off during the week for a two night stay here at Kohler Andrae State Park. This meant the park was only 50-60% full during our stay which was nice and relaxing. Was easy…

Love camping here. Tone of hiking for all kinds of people!
Secluded campsites, laid back staff, just a stones throw from the water!
I visit this site often and love it. Great walking and biking trails, and reasonably private sites. The 300 and 400 loops are better and the 500 loop is the best in terms of space and privacy.
If you do t mind cold camping (or have a 4x4 class B like me) go in the winter. Beautiful and empty. So…
This campground is great for family and offers many wooded sites. The lake is rather shallow so best for swimming in early summer or warm fall days. Nicely situated in Kettle
Took our new camper out for the first time to this little campground 40 minutes away from home. Super friendly owners, super clean campground and it's along part of the Ice Age Trail that leads to the Lake Michigan Beach. Point Beach State park is also a great place to visit and is only a few…
We were lucky enough to camp a few nights here in 2018. I can't say anything negative about the campground. Our site was large, and it had some trees that acted as natural dividers. The camp featured a nature center, and there was walkways near the lake. The beach section was nicely maintained too.…
