Just what we needed

We just needed a place to stay for the night. The playground was rated “amazing” by our kids. The electrical and water are a little spaced out. We took the end spot and count quite reach our two water hoses. There two long-term campers who were hooked up to the water spigot closest to us. The…

Nice area with train noise

Beautiful spot. Easy water access. Only hitch is you're very close to train tracks and the trains tend to be quite loud as they pass.

Great Weekend Spot

We only stayed for one night on our way to the Badlands, but wish we could’ve stayed longer. This park is perfect! Literally not a bad spot in the CG. Good shade. Clean shower house. Paved bike and walking trail. This place definitely gets 5 stars

Very nice campground

We stayed at this very clean, small city park campground. Hardly anyone was there I think I counted 5 other there. We stayed on our trip out west. Would recommend.

Well maintained near train tracks

A well maintained city campground with vault toilets and convenient nearby dump station just outside the park. Night time train traffic may be a negative for light sleepers.

Nice spots by the lake

Electric and water hookups. Spots are very close together. Luckily several people cancelled for the weekend and we were allowed to pick any spot. Shower houses are nice. I'd stay again, although a lady in town said the hole in the mound county park nearby is much quieter. The ice cream man made a…

Give this one a go

Super clean, nicely spaced, tons of trails. As Google guided is to the campground, we were getting concerned. Turns out, great campsite.

This is a super nice state campground

The sites are nicely spaced designed in a way there are many "corner" sites with privacy. Super well maintained, shower facility very new looking and comfortable. Lots of trails. Multiple nights is a great option.

Eastern South Dakota Gem

South Dakota State Park, Brandon SD. Great stop. We spent 2 days. Very nice campground with lots to do and see. Big spacious sites ours backed up to the bike path and river. New bathhouse entire park was very clean. About half hour to Sioux Falls. Worth the trip to see the Falls and the bike/hike…

Beautiful park with nice hiking trails

We stayed in the Upper Campground in the site closest to the equestrian campground. The kids loved being able to meet & visit with the horses.

The sites were a good size, but not much privacy or tree coverage in the area we stayed. There were a lot of trails to hike and a river/stream…

Lovely Place

Beautiful spot. Go see Devils Gultch! There was a really nice dump station outside of the park near entrance to Devil’s Gultch.

Convenient camping near Sioux Falls

This Recreation Area is large and  located off the Sioux River, which was slow flowing when I visited. It’s not the most picturesque river I’ve seen, so if you’re looking for that look further. However, because it was slow moving it made for a nice round trip paddle.

Easy access from 90W, not…

Quiet, good paved bike path

Very nice, well kept state recreation area along the Big Sioux River. Large campsites and nice cabins, too. Rode our bikes from the campsite along the river. You can ride into Brandon if you like. Big trees, lots of shade, nice people.
