We booked the last site available on a whim and it ended up being the best view of the light house!
Well maintained and clean site. Owners were friendly.
Spacious, beautiful overlook of Lake superior. The wind off the lake is chilly so bring layers. Firewood is $7, Firestarter are $5. Ppl very friendly and after 10 pm it is quiet. 10/10 would come again
Burlington Bay Campground was clean. The shower house by the playground was clean and new. The playground seemed fairly new and the kids loved playing on it. Walking on the beach lead to a nice City trail. The kids loved climbing all over the rock formations and finding new rocks.
We stayed here last June with our large family. My bf and I stayed 2 nights in a cabin and tent camped 2 nights on a camp site. This area has great access to many lakes including the BWCA along with being close to Ely for anything you may have forgotten. Silver Rapids Lodge itself has a…
Mosquitos were bad run back to the twin cities !
Sites here can be pretty close so your neighbors are hopefully quiet or people you know. We had to change sites because of some snow and water and the park staff was great at accommodating. We ended up at site 17 and it was perfect. Had a faucet hear us and the bathroom was close. We were out on…

What an amazing experience. This is a place to go to get away form it all. The camping here is very different depending on what you want. If you want to hike in a little further there are some great views from your sites. The sites are big, great tree coverage, and some amazing views. Each site is…

Love this hike it is one of the best me and my fiancé did this hike twice and then at the end we went and introduced a puppy she is a little stinker now but that’s ok we love her anyhow but this lake is a must see and a must do
Nice but the new 120 day booking system has made it impossible to book a site. I was trying to book a site at 8:00 in the morning 120 days out, boom, slam , nothing available
Sites are close, but the falls hike is beautiful. Fresh water, nice bathrooms with showers. Great place to enjoy a night or two, get some awesome hiking in, and refill water etc. Very busy, and unfortunately city people who played loud music when we were there.
Go farther up the arrowhead…
Any time on the North Shore is a great time! A lot to do and see. Clean restrooms and showers. The sites are a little close and not much privacy, but the view is awesome.

We LOVE Split Rock State Park, and try to go at least one a year. This spring we backpacked in a bit to the first backpack site, BP1, just about a mile in from the parking lot.
The cart in sites are definitely amazing, but the backpack ones are the best! This one is on an overlook with pretty…

Stayed at a camper cabin- had the park to ourselves! Absolutely gorgeous. The drive off the main highway is a few miles, so you really end up out in the wilderness! We also appreciated that this park doesn’t allow hunting so you know you are safe during that season.
The campground is along a…
