This spot is basically a convenient place to park an RV while visiting Duluth. Close to the interstate, real close, and within 1/2 mile of the most visited tourist attraction in Minnesota. Nothing fancy, a place to park with electricity if you want it. Reservations not available, first come ,…
This park is gorgeous, the trail along the river is a bit rough but it was worth it to see the beautiful river gorge. We didn’t get to stay at the campgrounds because they were all reserved but we will definitely be coming back to stay!
The location is great and very spacious. Bike/ walking/ hiking trails are close by. The bathrooms are fantastic(new facilities) For RV campers there are no dump station. I recommend this Park A+

On the outskirts of Finland, along the Baptism River, in the Finland National Forest. Just a few miles north of Eckbeck Campground, off of MN 1 & County Rd 6. Really nice wooded sites, some can accommodate big rigs. Level sites. Vault toilets. Trash bins. Some privacy between sites. I would…

In town, at marina, and boat dry dock yard. Fun for those that enjoy looking at boats and watching marine activities. No playground for children.
We tried it on the way to the UP of Michigan and came back the same route for two more nights. If you are a water lover, you’ll love the easy access to the water and walkable beach. 12 Reservable campsites online. Tent camping and electrical camping on water, and dry camping in the back woods first…
Was perfect for our family with two toddlers and a dog in a scamp.
Quiet, peaceful, and spacious. All around great location to explore the north shore.
We came on a Thursday night at the end of September and it was not full the entire weekend.
Would try to get site 3 next time.
Trees could be trimmed around some of the sites. Restrooms and showers were clean.
Heavily wooded campground, sites are a little close but acceptable.
Very noisy with the roar of traffic on hwy 61 all night. ATVs coming and going at all hours. The city had the opportunity to build this site down by the lake and instead put it in a field next to the hwy. black beach is still a beautiful place to visit though
If you like primitive wilderness camping but want to be only a short backpack hike away from your car, this campsite is for you! There are actually two campsites at this location, offset from each other on the lakeshore but close enough for a group to spread out into. This is a backcountry camping…

This is a campground with good access to Lake Vermilion and excellent fishing, so that would be a main draw. This is a private campground and has some sites reserved for seasonal RV camping, and other sites avaialble for short term RV or tent camping. Many of the RV sites are open and close…

This is our second time camping here, the first time being in June a few years ago. Fall camping is a different ballgame! The colors are beautiful, the campground is quieter (at least during the week) and this particular campground is more like a state park than the other more rustic campgrounds…

A little expensive but worth it for the secluded site not far from the showers. Bar/office super friendly
Beautiful spot with plenty of well spaced out sites that can accommodate tents, vans, or RVs . During the thick of summer there still weren't many people there (we went July 31). It is a bit of an inconvenience to get to if you're looking to do things on Lake Superior coast, but even considering…
