Immaculately maintained, has top-shelf amenities, and the staff are amazing.

In our years of RV travels The Pines of Kabetogama is among the best RV resorts we have ever stayed at. Long story short, the resort itself provides direct access to Voyageurs National Park, is immaculately maintained, has top-shelf amenities, and the staff is amazing. You truly get what you pay…

Perfect for Kayaking on Lake Kabetogama!

This state forest campground was almost empty when I rolled in!

It had several spots to launch a kayak right from the campground and also a boat launch just a quick drive away.

The quiet and peaceful nature was just what I was looking for and I loved getting two paddles in during my stay!

Quiet serenity

Just got back from a lovely labor day weekend at Scenic State Park. We stayed in the Chase Point campground. Nice and spacious camping plots with a fair amount of trees between neighbors. Still can see neighbors clearly. Super cute trail close to our site, lots of nice wildflowers and scenery.…

Camper cabin at Big Bog State Park

Great Campground, we were 1 of only 2 campers there. We went to the Upper Red Lake Beach, right across the street from the Cabins. We also drive to the upper unit and hiked the Big Bog Boardwalk, which was actually light filtering metal - no boards. The bog land was fascinating and the carnivorous…

Woodenfrog State Forest Campground

Woodenfrog is located along the shoreline of Lake Kabetogama - part of Voyageurs National Park. The sites all seemed to be nestled nicely into their own nooks among the trees. We were the only campers in the entire campground when we started in late April. The trail along the lake was nice, fire…

Quiet Gem

We found Woodefrog State Forest Campground to be a perfect spot to enjoy Voyageurs National Park. We easily snagged a campsite next to Lake Kabetogama, kayaked, hiked, and enjoyed listening to the loons. We had sunlight for our solar and plenty of room.

Excellent campground

Well kept campground, new showers, bathrooms. A laundry room, alas, is not finished but there is laundry in town. Recommend sites 20-32, if you want a little more space. Read the reserve dates carefully on the signs if you drive through to select a site; the site you want might actually be…

Very peaceful

Stopped here on the way back. Not crowded on a weekend and really only the water sites were busy. Good fishing in the lake. Like all good forests it’s primitive and non reservable. Wouldn’t worry about getting a site tho. We stayed in 7 and had nobody around us. Great place to come to get away from…

Peaceful

North loop has more reservable campsites but we chose to got it he south loop to get away from the families who stayed near the beach. Very primitive campground with excellent fishing! No cell service so come here to get away! The town of Marcell isn’t too far away but most of the roads you take…

Feel very fortunate to have this resource

We have stayed in our rv here at least 5 times the last two years and always appreciate the raw beauty in this park. From the white pines to the gigantic norways, the bald eagles that are always watching your next move into there domain. I have very often stayed days past my forcast stay.

Quiet campground for Voyageurs

The campground was quiet. There was a short hiking trail near the lake. The spots were fairly level but there's variability.

Great Location and Smaller Clean Campground

Super nice campground and one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. It is sponsored by the Army Corps of Engineers and they always have good solid facilities so this is a huge bonus for the area. With access to the Mississippi River near and Lake Winnibigoshish you have plenty to choose from. The…

Very Popular and Access to Lake

We went on a busy weekend, but the campground itself was in good shape and had several options for individuals who want to tent camp or RV camp. This is the best campground in the area in my opinion as it offers a lot. The hosts were great and very welcoming. The electric sites are not on the water…

Perfect campsites to reconnect with nature

Our campsite was beautiful! Boated out 17 mile out very own island with a dock provided. The camping pads made setting up the tents 10x easier and more organized. The lake water was refreshing and there were so many places to boat to for hiking, clift jumping, and especially fishing. Had an…

Great state campground

We stayed for 1 night on a site that had a short trail to the lake. The sites were private with lots of trees and wildlife. I could here our neighbors generator but as a tent camper we are used to it. They did respect the quiet hours.
I would camp here again. Kind people and cool sites.
