Sites are decent size, and ample space between. No dump station.

Turtle River

Lots of poison ivy. Campground should have a caution note on it for individuals with severe reaction. Overall it is a nice campground with a lot of trails and playground. Bathroom and shower facility is new and clean. A lot of drive through lots that are level with easy hook ups WiFi is only…

Great for an Overnight

Stayed here one night while on a work trip, trying to maximize summer fun. For a free campground, it was fantastic. Sites had picnic tables and a place for a fire, although it wasn’t an actual fire ring. Trees by the sites are not well spaced for hammocks unless you have extra long straps. There is…

Poison Ivy Galore

Nice lil campground in a pretty, wooded forest but holy cow there's poison ivy everywhere! We have it popping up in the mowed area of our camp site even. Not a great area for little kids because of that, though they do have a nice little playground area and plenty of short walking trails. It'd be a…

One of my favorites

This campground has it all. Lots of trails (relatively easy), pristine bathrooms, deer wandering through the sites, a murder mystery game, electric and water hookups, easy access.

Inner city camping

Was a bit curious about staying at a place that, on the map, was between two towns on a river. This campground was really nice. If you did not want to cook, there are 4 restaurants within 3 blocks of your campsite. And a Cabelas within 4 blocks, so if you forget anything, it’s close by. There are…

Well maintained park with nice trails and interesting history

A very beautiful park for a day trip or weekend camping. The trails aren't exhastingly long but are very dynamic and have an abundance of wildlife. The historic area is well kept and very cool so check it out!!

Pretty neat

Kinda cool that there's a campground just plopped in the middle of a city park. Nice that it's a quick walk to playground, trails (and the pumpkin patch/corn maze in the fall!)

FHU, but very tight sites. Clean campground, nice people running it.

I needed to scout what Turtle River looked like before I pull my travel trailer there in Spring. Here is what I found.

Nice flat pull through campgrounds. Easy electrical outlets with breakers. Water outlets are off for winter. Plenty of bathrooms Septic is drive through may be tricky to get in…

Urban RV Park

This the most urban state park campground in MN. It’s within East Grand Forks. Not quiet and felt like a town of RVs. Great amenities and coffee nearby, not wild.

An RV camping experience, unless you're walking

If you're looking for somewhere to park a big RV, this campground is modern, convenient, and nicely-equipped. There's no privacy or nature to be had, though. It's a grassy plain with straight rows of pull-throughs.

However, there are a handful of walk-in sites off to the side that looked…

Nice campground

Stayed here on our family vacation to various state parks in ND. Although, this was a nice place, it was the bottom in our list of places we visited. No swim beach - we ended up going over to Larimore Dam rec area, which was awesome!! Had some geocaches, but TONS of poison ivy!!!! Even had sprouts…

Campground with a history

This campground used to be houses before flooding so the roads are paved campsites are pretty open mostly all pull through sites. Walk in campsites on the red river give amazing views and seclusion just a short walk away. Campground is also right downtown East Grand Forks for easy access for any…
