Each cabin has four sleeping spots: 2 bunk beds, and the 2 couches convert to beds. There's a heater inside, but no AC, which makes these the most suitable during the spring and fall.
There is a fire ring outside of each cabin, along with a table. No cooking is allowed inside the cabins, which…
This campground is well maintained and a beautiful park within the woods. Great for hiking and kayaking/canoeing is near by.
Stayed middle of the week found local firewood from farms nearby. Also a creamery is a short drive from camp.
Campsites are flat and grassy. They back up to each other so good for groups camping together. Has horse tie ups and great trails
We stayed at Frontenac the first weekend of May, and lucked out with some really incredible weather! The park offers a number of really nice hiking trails along the bluffs of Lake Pepin, which we took full advantage of. There were a few boats on the water , which looked so appealing on our hot day…

Bathrooms are close to camp. Camp sites are close to eachother, but there is tons of camping to get away!
First, terrific park. Lots of trails with a wide variety of landscapes. Prairie, forest, river, it’s got it all.
My campsite was perfect. The woods made it very secluded. It was close enough to water and bathrooms so it wasn’t bad if you planned. They do have firewood available however it is long…
Camper Cabin (Eastern Bluebird)🏡🐦
Perfect little cabin nestled in the southern half of the park! Screened in porch, heated with electricity, and two double bunk beds!

This campground is small and quaint...plenty of space without being too close to your neighbors. Super easy to social distance here.
We visited in winter (February) and while there was snow on the ground, the spaces were kept plowed with easy access to the electric boxes. We were in a…

Great park with lots of elevation.
We stayed here last summer and it’s a great place to explore the region near the Mississippi River. Lots of amazing views, interactive signs and information that was perfect for our 4 year old. Close to the river and the town which was beautiful also!
We stayed here for one night in August 2020 en route to black hills. Nice site(number 80), good shade and privacy between sites. Some mosquitos in evening.
This park is great for hiking and winter snowshoeing and cross country skiing. The 2 camp sites are a good little hike in and you have to backpack everything you need in. Of course if you are on the river it's a nice little stop between Faribault and Northfield. Not sure about camping in the…
The campground is very nice and well kept. Clean thru out the park. Some very nice shaded sites. Not the greatest for big RV's. OK lake access, good for padding and small boats. Overall it was close to home and a nice time to just get away for a weekend.
Site 20 has an absolutely outstanding view of Lake Pepin and fall colors. The first and second loops have a mix of tent sites and electric sites, but it was quiet and peaceful. The electric sites seem small, so big rigs are deterred from setting up shop(and generators). The third and fourth loops…
