South Dakota Luxury Camping

We originally booked the teepee which is adorable but after arriving we felt we needed some more space. Luckily for us there was one glamping tent available for the dates we needed. Quite the price difference but we were ok with it. 3 beds (2 queen and one twin!) all with trundles underneath! …

Great place to camp

Wyatts hideaway is a great place to camp. Wyatts is right by the red water river which is a great turning river. Wyatts campground has a lot of trees too so there is enough shade but you will get enough sun.

Great place to camp.

Water is usually calm in the morning and evening. It is a great fishing lake too. I have never had a bad experience from the times I’ve been there.

Good, not great campground

The best thing about this campground was the host. He keeps a clean, if primitive, campground and seems genuinely interested in the comfort of the guests. Poor Verizon reception. Clean vault toilets, no sanitizer or hand wash stations tho.

Peaceful campground just near Devil’s Tower

This is a perfect spot close to the highway if you want easy access and to forget how close you are to getting back on the road. Easy access to spots. There’s something for any tent, RV, travel trailer you wanna bring.

Nice campsite.

It's a nice location. Not too far from town, so you can easily drive into deadwood, for the day/night if you want. Beautiful spot, I recently stayed in a site just a short walk away from the water. So beautiful. The lake is small but still great.

Beautiful Surroundings! Nice amenities, Close to everything!

What a gorgeous view! Clean bathrooms, great showers clubhouse with games for kids. We had terrific neighbors. Only negative was you have get wood there and bundles were small and expensive, so budget for that if you like a nice warm campfire.

Camping Right Near Mount Rushmore

Me and my friend (both young females) arrived at this campsite after seeing Mount Rushmore and doing a long hike.

There were plenty of parking spots and plenty of space to set up a tent. We decided to set up our tent on one of the sites right by the parking lot. It was a pretty quiet night just a…

We love KOA’s

This KOA is similar to many others, offering showers/toilets/laundry/etc. Super close to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and more! Custer SP is amazing and should be a stop to everyone who drives through SD. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

Nice airy stop

Really cool area with prairie, rock formations and forest all rolled into one place. Super quiet during the end of the season so plenty of picturesque photo opportunities!

Close to attractions and free way.

We stayed early on the season the winter campers did not clean up after there dogs, when they did they put it on the fire pit. Be warned they have a open sewer pit could be a problem on the summer.

Just Fine

Really nothing in particular wrong with this campground, but it’s a little pricey at $45 for no bathrooms or showers. There is a little dog park at the front. Rules are pretty strict to the point of being unfriendly.
