The campground is located right in the middle of the forest, and there’s no cell service at all, which can actually be a nice change if you're looking to disconnect for a while. Since many of the nearby campgrounds tend to be fully booked well in advance, this campground is a great alternative. The same-day reservation system was perfect for spontaneous travelers like us. A short five-minute walk takes you to warm showers by the lake, which was a nice bonus. The lake is also home to a lot of wildlife, making the area even more enjoyable. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this is a great place to spend a night and a campground we would happily recommend.
RangerStaying here is a really special experience. Being able to camp here for free feels like a real privilege. Waking up in the morning to the incredible views is absolutely worth it. Yes, it can get quite windy, but in our experience it was still very manageable. There are designated campsites, and even though we arrived fairly late, we were still able to get an excellent spot. We were also pleasantly surprised that the cell service was pretty decent. If you have the opportunity to stay here, we would definitely recommend it. The views alone make it worth the visit.
