Nice campground

Went camping for the first time, with 2 kids (8 and 4). Bathrooms were clean, there was a beach and playground nearby. Enough shopping nearby also to replenish groceries but feels woodsy. Nice nature area nearby as well.

The Meadows.

We stayed in the upper level “The meadows” it was nice and relaxing, each site had a mature tree for shade, there were times when the sun was high that we needed to rely on a canopy, but over all excellent and quiet!. The pool was great and the staff was great! There was security that made rounds…

Great camper cabins for spring and fall

Each cabin has four sleeping spots: 2 bunk beds, and the 2 couches convert to beds. There's a heater inside, but no AC, which makes these the most suitable during the spring and fall.

There is a fire ring outside of each cabin, along with a table. No cooking is allowed inside the cabins, which…

  • The cabins are close to each other, but they're quiet on the inside.
  • The trees make for beautiful scenery, and the back decks of all the cabins face the forest.
  • Fire ring -- there's a grill plate you can use to cook on. No cooking is allowed inside of the cabins.

Secluded in the Minneapolis Suburbs

Lebanon Hills is a great park and has a lot of trails for hiking and mountain biking. Our family selected this camp ground to test out some gear -- if we had problems or if we forgot something it was a short drive home. Turns out this is a wonderful camp ground and offers a lot of seclusion.

  • Site 69 with the picnic table in its default location
  • Camping pad is large enough for our 9x13 tent and 11.5x11.5 Clam Escape shelter
  • Tree cover was full enough in the 3rd week of May was so tight that our camp site was nice and dark for sleeping

Friendly Staff

This is a great site for kids. They have a lot of great amenities for kid’s entertainment. A lot of families camped here. The staff was very helpful & friendly. My only complaint is that the sites are really close together. Kind of makes you feel like a can of sardines.

Assateague Island National Seashore

One of the best campgrounds on the East Coast. Camp Oceanside among the dunes listening to the roar of the waves. Watch out for wild horses roaming through the campground

Solid campground with views of Lake Pepin

We stayed at Frontenac the first weekend of May, and lucked out with some really incredible weather! The park offers a number of really nice hiking trails along the bluffs of Lake Pepin, which we took full advantage of. There were a few boats on the water , which looked so appealing on our hot day…

  • The camp setup
  • One benefit of being so close to the In Yan Teopa lookout was being able to run down at sunset!

Get A Water View Site!

We went here in 2020 so the amenities were closed and I cannot review that.

The road to get to our water view site (69) was narrow and tricky with the camper but it was worth it for that peaceful view!

There was one night where a bunch of rowdy folks camped and threw their beer cans and trash…
