Quiet Weekend

The campground is well kept, the bathrooms are clean (a bit of a walk from this cabin), and the pool is inviting. Being tall, the bunkbeds were a challenge, so maybe have the kids stay in this one. Very close to Cook County State Park and Allegheny National Forest for fantastic hiking. Cell phone…

Love the park not the campground

Was there a few months ago. I love this area. Cook Forest is about 10-11 miles from Clarion, PA where I attend college. The state park is one of the most popular in the state, I think. The Clarion River provides lots of water activities, etc. and there is lots of hikes to do including a walk to the…

Spacious Camping in the Woods

This campground is operated by the state and they take excellent care of it. The sites are spacious with all different types of typography - large boulders, slopes, flats all with grass and dirt, handicap accessible picnic tables and fire rings. Few sites have full hook-up and those are closest to…

Long overdue honeymoon

We tent camped at site 76. Secluded and beautiful. We had the whole side of the upper loop to ourselves! Bumped up against the nature trail for a quick hike. We fished at the small section opposite the swimming area. We were alone the entire time! This park is well kept and very very clean.…

Solid choice for camping in ANF

This Koa is above average for KOA campgrounds. My biggest complaint is the sites are very close and offer little privacy

Beautiful Sites in the Forest

This park has numerous flat sites, hidden in the forest, with all the normal state park amenities. The Cook Forest is lush and cool, with a beautiful stream on the back loop. There are walking trails directly from the campground- one specifically for dogs and one that takes you into town(~1.5…

Nice place minus seasonals

The camp ground is not bad. Nice place over all. The pool is very nice, playgrounds for the kids and activities to do. Very friendly staff. However the seasonal campers seem to have some sort of entitlement. That is very annoying. Very loud and obnoxious which unfortunately has ruined our stay. I’m…

Family friendly

We were contacted by campground about an alternate route. My daughter called and learned it was regarding a small bridge that would accommodate our 31’ RV, so we went that route. It was fine for us.

They have too many amenities to list. Of note, the pool water was decently warm and they had an…

The Perfect Spot

We have a camper, but wanted to take the kids tent camping for a change, and this was the perfect place. It’s first come first serve, but we lucked out with a huge spot, shady, right beside the gorgeous creek, and also the closest to the toilet (which did occasionally send a slight scent our way,…

This place is charming

Apparently lots of other folks agree, many seasonal campers here. Quiet tonight with only 4 or 5 empty spots. We arrived after closing but host drove me hind us. Seamless check in, easy hook up showers were very hot good pressure home made . Love it here 5+. Close to I80.

Clean beautiful campground

We loved this campground! We were back in the electric only campground area right on the creek. It was very quiet back there and water fill on your way in. The creek makes the most beautiful flowing sound.

The pool was clean and the kids loved swimming in it

I was thankful for laundry room to…

Pleasant and relaxing

First trip without kids, shakedown on our new trailer and it was very nice. This is a complete campground has lots of activities for kids and adults alike. They have a little winery and pond to do some fishing as well.

Hidden Gem!

You really feel like you're camping when you're here!  The campsites are large and not crowded on top of each other.  There are woods between the sites which increases privacy and keeps it really quiet.

Buckaloons is right on the Allegheny River and there's a boat ramp onsite. If you're a paddler…
