Level sites spread through wooded areas give Linesville Campground a spacious feel, with many spots offering direct access to Pymatuning Lake's shoreline. The campground sits within Pennsylvania's portion of the state park, accommodating everything from tents to 60-foot RVs with full hookups available at select sites.
Campers consistently praise the convenient boat launch area that connects directly to the campground, making it simple to get kayaks and paddleboards onto the water. The marina sits within walking distance, providing boat rentals, fuel, and snacks for those planning extended time on the lake. Joni P. notes the "beach area was small but clean and had new sand," while the fish cleaning station includes complimentary fridges and freezers for anglers.
Sites vary considerably in their lake proximity, with waterfront spots filling quickly during peak season. Several reviewers mention good spacing between sites prevents a crowded feeling, though accessing the small playground requires walking through some camping areas. The bathhouse receives regular maintenance and stays clean according to multiple visitors. Cell service works reliably for Verizon users throughout the grounds.
The campground operates from mid-April through mid-October, with reservations available for advance planning. A short drive leads to Linesville's spillway, where feeding massive carp draws families, though finding the trailhead requires some navigation through town. Tuttle Campground — Pymatuning State Park provides additional options less than two miles away within the same state park system.
Linesville works well for campers prioritizing lake access and fishing over extensive hiking, with the water activities and convenient boat facilities serving as the primary draw for most visitors.
