River Rock Recreation is a seasonal campsite that offers a retreat to a Primitive Susquehanna River Front Tent Camping Experience. You can expect a large rustic campsite, dry camping with no hook ups or facilities but with enough amenities to keep your camp trip running smoothly.

We want campers to have an enjoyable stay and connect with nature! River Rock Recreation campsite is located along the banks of the mighty Susquehanna River in Bainbridge, Conoy Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. An area rich with historic significance and breath taking scenery. From the rolling hills of Lancaster County, Chickies Rock, the sculpted rock visible at the bottom of Conewago Falls, the White Cliffs of Conoy, and the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail there is no shortage of adventure.

Our campsite offers the combination of camping fun and endless variety of recreation and leisure activities. Thousand Trails Gettysburg Farm

We have a small dry camping area on our farm. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through although for larger tag along campers you might have to adjust slightly. We provide fire rings and campfire wood (assuming we have it available). Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture where you can interact with them, feed them, and enjoy them. For those with allergies to things such as hay, please bring allergy meds. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to absorb some great nature or have a picnic.

Walking paths leading to the scenic Conowingo Creek make this private setting located in southern Lancaster County a perfect relaxing get away. The short walk will put you on the banks of ideal fishing or a refreshing dip in the beautiful waterway. Some experts claim that plopping a chair in the middle of the creek with a good book is the only way to go! Then, after an evening by the campfire and a cozy night of sleep, a short drive gives you access to the Susquehanna River where hiking, scenic overlooks and kayaking options abound. The area is surrounded by Amish farms and loads of country charm. Got an itch for a historic city experience, Lancaster City is a 30 minute drive north where the farmers' Central Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and surrounded by lots of quaint shopping. Recently added to Camp Conowingo Extras is the "Henry Hilton" which sleeps two and is an add on for larger groups or anyone who wants to take in the view, sleeping closer to the stars. The Space:
Spring is in it's glorious beauty at this private, picturesque setting in southern Lancaster County, PA where you can fish in the stocked creek, go for a stroll or sit and enjoy the abundant sounds of nature.

This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, and 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs.

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Our goal is to provide everything you'll need to have a comfortable stay - just bring clothing and food. The bed is always clean and prepared for your arrival with linens to suit the season. We also supply plenty of dry firewood, because what would camping be without a fire! Nestled in among the habitat of a healthy deer population, please respect your shy neighbors. Parking pad is for vehicle parking, please use the available wagon located there and walk the short path back to your site. No smoking or vaping of any kind inside the tent. And children should always be accompanied by an adult when playing by the creek.

Blackwell Wood Farm circa 1790, is located in Terra Rubra approximately 2 miles from the birthplace of Francis Scott Key, author of the National anthem. The farm is steeped in history, known for clay that was mined for one of the first brick kilns in the area, only 15 minutes to historic Gettysburg. On weekends when the cannons are fired you can hear them in the distance. The farm is surrounded by approximately 500 acres of farmland and beautiful pastures. The campsite is themed as a Western cattle camp complete with a real 1800s wagon, outdoor cooking area with wrought iron cooking supplies. Highland cattle are in a separate field within view. Sunsets are some of the best on the entire East coast ! Did we mention we also have 2000 Blueberry plants as well, June - August pick your own fresh blueberries !!!
