Great private site

Non-members pay market rate, but great site with all the perks.

Quiet & Safe

Woodsong is a beautiful, gated RV campground. It’s has an amazing patio pool and raised hot tub. The basketball court, checkers/chess court, and playground are pleasing and fun for the grandchildren. They strictly enforce the rules on noise and speed. We like that! Our grandkids are safe and…

A decent self service first come first served location.

This is a pretty nice little self service first come first served campground on the edge of Chengwatana State Forest. Clean toilets and nice shady spots, most of which are quite private. However, if it is peace and quiet your looking for, plan on using one of the hike in sites in the forest. My…

Raspberries everywhere!!

Beautiful site, wish the river was higher for fishing. Just a mile or so walk to the Saint Croix River. Camp grounds have restrooms, water (have to boil or purify it) Camp ground manager comes around and has firewood for sale. I'd say it was worth the price of $17/night. Watch out for bears though.

Super nice and not a lot of people

Kind of off the beaten path. You have to take the Willow River exit and go through the town a little bit. There's a small sign next to the Squirrel Cage restaurant and bar. You'll be next to the freeway and you'll hear the noise but it's not that bad. Usually hardly anyone is here. They have picnic…

Mixed experience

Our stay was okay. Office and store was clean and well cared for. Check in was smooth and we were shown to our sites. We were spending the weekend with friends and the campground was very accommodating.

Campground was very dark in the area of campsites which made setting up a bit difficult. Our…

2nd visit

We decided to come back for a 2nd visit and our 1st visit was great but this time was even better! We love this campground, our spot was spacious and had plenty of room to enjoy, people are great and very nice here, staff helpful as always, very relaxed place! Can’t say enough about the awesome pet…

First timer

This was our first time out, we stayed with our RV and really enjoyed this place. The staff was great and willing to help with any questions or concerns we as rookies had! They have pull through sites that made our first time that much easier. Great people, nice lots, and we absolutely loved the…

Tons if fun for all

The mountain biking trails were in great shape and were great for all skill levels. The lake was super clear and the small beach was wonderful. The fishing was productive for small mouth bass and rock bass, but snorkelers told of huge pike in the nearby drop off. The fish meat was speckled in…

In my opinion this campground is the best in the park!

St. Croix State Park- Review Stayed 6/30-7/2/2020

CAMPGROUND: We stayed in the Old Logging Trail Campgrounds, site 141E, it was a pretty decent site. A little sandy w/ gravel & some unmowed grassy area. This site was big. I prefer a secluded site and this was a good one in comparison to…

Old logging trail is by far the best of the 3 campgrounds in the park.

Way more trees and it made the trip a lot more private.

Very nice showers Park itself is fantastic. I’ll bring my kayak next time and glad I brought the bikes as things are spread out.

Hiking paths were many and well maintained. Loaded up on wild blueberries and raspberries!!

Next trip- sites…

This is a great spot to camp. Seems to be a good spot if you have kids. A lot of trails to explore, including a long paved trail for bikes. A beach is a short drive away and it's not far from Danbury, WI or Hinckley, MN if you forgot anything.
