Nice well kept place.

Very clean and great place to stay. Only stayed 1 nite but if back in area, would stay longer. Staff was very friendly and courteous! Great pull thru site. Plenty of room to leave hooked up...

Locked up!

This may be a great campsite but for us it was terrible. When we arrived at 11pm the gates were locked with no one in site. Was supposed to be a one night stopover with a morning swim. Ended up at the rest stop instead. Not a single word about late arrivals at the gate or on recreation.gov.

Our families favorite lake

Love it all around, it's beautiful, great fishing, camping, nice people, all around a great place. Liberty Hill is the only park we will go to.

Gorgeous and private ... watch out for poison ivy

So gorgeous ... very well laid out. Incredibly private sites.

PROS: very well laid out. Incredibly private sites. Everything is nice and new. The hiking paths were gorgeous with some awesome historic sites to see and even manageable after light rain (wear rain boots though). The guest center was…

Peace and quiet

Friendly staff at check-in. We stayed in campsite 29 which is kind of elevated a bit and we had a great view of the lake. Even tho it rained quite a bit we still enjoyed ourselves. Local sheriff’s dept and park ranger made several trips through the park which made it feel secure. Bathroom…

Needs some TLC If I could give 3.5 stars I would

We stopped here with our 38’ travel trailer for an overnight on our way north. The ranger at the gate was very friendly and informed us that due to flooding and the lake being 7 feet above normal, all the trails and boat dock were closed.

We had a nice shady site, #224, in Loop G, which was easy…

Overall Great Experience

The issues we did have with this campsite, arriving after hours and someone taking our original spot is not the fault of the park. And other than those 2 things, our stay was great. Easy to get in, easy to sleep, and easy to get out! Great stopping point.

Private, quiet, and gorgeous place to stay

We ended up changing our trip last minute and ended up in Ceder Hill. It was the closest place to Dallas and most attractive. Once we saw the spot, we fell in love with it. This is what RV life is supposed to be everywhere. And it only costs $25 a night, plus $5 per person.

Owners are decent and honest

Needed a place to stay with my truck and he gave me the fairest price from all the other places I called.

Lake View, Toilets, Water, Free

Peaceful Army Corps of Engineer park with 12 sites, half are shaded. Clean vault toilets, dumpsters, and water between most sites, covered picnic tables and fire pits, a few have stand up grills. Some locals take the sites for day use fishing so those might open up towards evening. Entry gate…

Secluded and quiet

The other reviews sum up the area around the cg, so I thought I'd share an opinion of the cg itself. The pads are level concrete with a gravel patio area, a metal picnic table, a nice fire ring and a lantern pole. The front gate locks at 8:30 but they give you a pass code to get in with. Verizon…

First Time

A great park near our home and just right for our first trip out in our new RV. Some road noise from the highway but beautiful nature all around. All the campers we met were friendly. Lots of hills for good walks. Unfortunately the trails were closed because of rain. There is a big variety in…

Quiet

Stayed here last weekend, the 2 primitive spots are completely separated and private from the rest. Already reserved the same spot for a few weeks from now

Peaceful place

We tent camped in a primitive spot #47. Overall the spot was nice but not very level making the best placement of our large tent a bit of a challenge. Vault toilets were clean and had hand sanitizer. The nature and hiking in this park was our favorite part. Even rented a canoe and paddled across…

Pretty park, crowded sites

This park is beautiful with lots of areas to explore. The camp sites are all in one location and are very close to one another. Some sites are awesome while others are kind of awful, unfortunately. We were in site 004 and it wasn't great. There wasn't a good spot for a tent or a hammock. However,…
