Wolf Creek - Navarro Mills Reservoir

Anglers and boaters find direct lake access at Wolf Creek, a US Army Corps of Engineers campground on Navarro Mills Reservoir. The facility operates seasonally from April through September, with full hookup sites positioned for easy water access. Concrete picnic tables and fire pits anchor each campsite.

Multiple fishing piers and boat launch docks connect campers to the lake, where crappie and catfish populate the waters. The reservoir supports tubing, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming, with a designated swimming area marked by ropes and featuring a small beach section. Campers must bring their own watercraft as no rentals operate on-site. Wildlife including deer frequent the area, and walking routes follow the shoreline.

Sites remain level with full hookups available through the reservation system. A park host stays on duty around the clock, and restroom and shower facilities serve the campground along with a dump station. Jennifer B. notes the campground "is usually not crowded except for big summer holidays." The location provides access to Pecan Point Park Campground and other Corps facilities around the reservoir.

Wolf Creek works well for campers prioritizing water recreation and fishing over hiking, with the seasonal schedule requiring advance planning for spring through fall visits.

Best of the three!

There are three VOE Parks on Lake Navarrow Mills and in my personal opnion Wolf Creek Park is the best. We camped here all the time when I was a kid. Navarrow Mills is a fantastic fishing lake. Tons of Crappie and catfish. The facilities are what you would expect from a COE park. Concrete table farily level sites and best of all easy water access.

Great little lake

This is a great little lake and campground, especially for fishing and boating. The campground offers nice, secluded campsites with full hook-ups. They each have a table & fire pit. The campsites are clean and well maintained. There are several fishing piers and boat loading docks. The lake is clean and great for tubing, standup paddle boarding or just swimming. There is also a roped off designated swimming area with a small beach. The campground is usually not crowded except for big summer holidays. Lots of wildlife like deer, etc. The public restroom & showers are clean and well kept. There also is a dumping station and a park host is on duty 24 hours a day. No hiking though but walking around the lake is really enjoyable. Bring your own water crafts because there isn’t any rentals offered here. Very low key & enjoyable.
