Nice park and well maintained trails

We stayed in Bastorp state park in our little teardrop trailer. The folks at the check-in point were very friendly and helpful. The campsite we had full hookups and was well shaded. We spent two days there and took several long hikes. We really enjoyed the changes in elevation, terrain and views.…

Perfect for a Shakedown Cruise!

We needed a place not too far out of town to test out our setups in prep for summer.

This was easy to get to and we had plenty of space to shake things down.

Loved having great cell service right at our site (AT&T), as we work remotely and needed to get a couple of things done.

Have also…

Fantastic Place to Visit!!

We recently stayed at 7A Ranch and had the best time! Everyone was super nice and very helpful! We went for out daughters 10th Birthday! We rented the Cantina Loft. There was 11 in out party and we had plenty of room and the sleeping accommodations were super nice and comfy. The property was…

Nice Sunsets and Views

We had nice views of the lake from our campsite. Booking a spot was very easy using Recreation.gov. Many campsites were closed while we were there during COVID restrictions, so check ahead. There are trails available for hikes around the lake.

Clean campgrounds

Campgrounds are far enough that you won't be bothered by noise. Park host maintain the restrooms and showers very clean. Good hiking trails with great views. Plenty of dumpsters to throw your trash bags. Each site comes with a picnic table, fire pit and an sand area to place your tent on so that…

Unbelievable views

This COE campground is amazing. We stayed in site 66 right on the water. There are great spots everywhere you turn. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful. Boat ramp was easily accessible and there was plenty of space along the shoreline to hang out.

River, Motorcycles and Fun

Easy access in and out of the campsite! Staff is always present monitoring front desk and campsite. If you want quiet look elsewhere, right on river road and motorcycle ride up and down! I enjoyed watching all the motorcycles while I ate breakfast and dinner. I rode my motorcycle during the…

Close to Austin Texas

We wanted to try out this State Park even though it is really close to the airport. The people at the officers friendly but very strict about check in time. We had a pool thru that was nice and level, with plenty of room. The bathrooms were very clean, and the trails were nice. There is lots of…

COE park on Canyon Lake

This park has some Great Lake front sites, but even from the upper loop where we stayed we enjoyed a beautiful view. The upper loop also has trees which really helped with the August heat. The staff is very strict about the 3pm check in time, but I understand they have rules. The park is clean and…

Excellent State Park close to Austin

This park is a great option for nature camping very close to all the attractions of Austin. The sites are spacious and they all have electricity and water hookups (some sites have 50 amps, most have 30 amps). All are reservable and very affordable at $24/$20 respectively, with greater discount if…

Very nice!

The grounds are very nice. Lots of trees in the RV area away from the water. Water front options for RV and camping. This place also has a "beach" area that you can swim at that is marked off with bouys. As far as the lake, it's a very choppy and muddy lake that is full of speeding boat…
