Pleasant surprise, cheap camping in West TX

Husband and I found Memphis a really pleasant and convenient overnight stop from CO to Louisiana. $15 payable online on the city website. After hours, we called the police station, and they let us in. Super friendly and great value for the price! (Felt a little safer knowing the gate is locked overnight, too.) Was just us and 1 RV. Might be less pleasant if there were more rigs, tho.

We had plenty room to charge the Tesla overnight on the 50amp and pitch a tent on comfortable, level grassy ground in some shade. Would definitely return!

Could hear a little highway noise and the train, but that's just west Texas.

Overnight Stay

This was an overnight stay for our trip from home in East Texas to Utah.
Hookups are 30 or 50 amp. There is water at each site but it was off for season.
Pay at the police station. There is a Dropbox with envelopes. $15 a night.
Location was fine for our 35 foot 5th wheel. We were disappointed by the amount of trash around the area. Also was a homeless person staying in a tent The person let his dog roam and almost got into fights with our German Shepherd.
If not for the trash and homeless person this could be a good cheap overnight.
