Sandy Creek is quiet with big spots.
We have camped here several times. The grounds are well kept, and the campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. The sites are paved and clean. Although the showers and restrooms could use some maintenance, they were clean and usable. We have stayed in sites 10 and 33. The covered picnic…
We enjoyed it so much when we went Memorial Day, we've already made reservations for Labor Day! Just a great place to relax, get away and unwind.
Tent camper, site #30. Deep into the piney woods and swampy outcrops of B.A. Steinhagen lake, I camped under the shade of a huge magnolia tree alongside very tall pines and oaks. Alligators are present all day and night near the water. They aren’t a nuisance. Good utility hookups, nice covered…

My wife and I stayed two nights at an excellent spot (#14).
The two ladies who manage the campground were wonderful and they kept the facilities very clean and tidy.
We will visit again this summer and believe it would be good for anyone looking to camp using tent, camper or RV.

Very nice park well maintained we enjoyed our stay here. Restrooms weren’t very clean bit other than that great place to stay
Its was nice and quiet just me and angel my faithful companion we just spent a Sunday make some lunch and try to fish a little but 👎. We walk wrong to see the little park, and meet a gentleman name Billy, very nice guy. Not much of maintenance trash and glass in some spots.
We camped here for a long weekend getaway. The park is a little over an hour north of Houston and easy to get to. We did not have a lakefront site, but we had a really good view of the lake. The full hookups were great and included cable tv. The park was a bit crowded for the weekend, with a…

Beautiful park. We brought kayaks and had a great time amongst the trees. Even saw some small gators!
Great Rv camp ground friendly people
We have passed this place several times on trips to other places and finally decided to check it out the first of Nov. We rented a small rustic shelter / cabin. Essentially a slab walls roof with a heater and ac. It did also have a picnic table inside. It was actually perfect for my family of 3.…
Stayed at site 333. Wonderful experience with the family. Lots to do and pet friendly.
