This state park is usually full and booked far in advance for a reason. It’s beautiful! Lots of upland pine and hardwood bottomlands with history. You can hike in the footsteps of those who traversed the Camino Real and visit the commemorative mission built by the CCC in 1934 to remember the…

Classic C.C.C. park, quite and clean. Plenty of hiking trails through the majestic pine trees. Water and electricity at each site and a dump station at the entrance of campground.
Fun location! Great Lake access

This campground really has no outside noise from anywhere. It is wonderfully quiet. The office and other working staff are very friendly and informative about things to do in the area. The wifi is strong, and the sites are level. we will definitely be back to stay in the area again on our trips…
We were greeted by a camp host who provided us with a map and a few local directions. She even provided a handout for obtaining inspection, registration & licensing for our Texas residency. We investigated this issue before embarking on this journey but weren’t told we’d need social security…
Park founded by RVrs. Has Care Center for those that no longer travel. People have little to do but complain about others. Amenities are good.
We had a great time at Huntsville State Park. Will definitely be returning as it’s so close to Houston. Park was jam packed and it seemed like rangers were a bit nervous as they drove through the grounds multiple times. Our site had direct water access and my husband floated a bit but we saw an…

We enjoyed it so much when we went Memorial Day, we've already made reservations for Labor Day! Just a great place to relax, get away and unwind.
This was a great park for family camping. The campsites were fairly large and all the campsites together weren’t very noisy with everyone being around. The restrooms and showers were clean there is only two showers on each side male and female there is no family shower or a parent shower/restroom.…

Fairly spaced out, nice and relaxed. Southern hospitality really played out when some neighbors gave us their extra firewood. Mosquitoes were terrible due to the rain, among the worst I’ve seen as far as mosquitoes go. Well maintained restrooms as well.
We arrived 151 days after making our on-line reservations for the very busy Memorial Day weekend in Piney Shore Loop campground. This was our fourth camping adventure at Lake Livingston State Park in the Piney Shore Loop.
Pros EXTREMELY quiet during the Memorial Day weekend. Even tho not backed…

We stayed for a total of 3 nights and it was pretty awesome. The site we chose was enough room for my 30 ft camper and mega cab next to it. It was a tight fit but I know next time a 35 ft campsite does not mean you can fit a camper up to 35 ft. It’s total feet including your…
Needed a place to stay with my truck and he gave me the fairest price from all the other places I called.
Solo camped with my big dog and had a blast. I went Sunday thru Tuesday, so I was the only camper on the entire loop!
Lots of water spigots, lots of shade, and sturdy fire pits make this campground really convenient. Most lakeside campsites appeared to have canoe ramps worn in.
