Stopped here a couple times for overnights. A little off my travel route, but it's well worth it. Very nice and it's never crowded.
Although this was a one night stop-N-go, we will be back. Super nice and well maintained. Staff very knowledgeable.

We happened upon this lovely, and convenient park during an emergency situation with our vehicle. This park is so nice, yes, it is near a freeway but step out your door and over to the park - WOW, who knew Wichita Falls was so pretty? We didn’t. We were stranded for two days (weekend) but this park…

overall, this campground was a nice overnight spot on our route to Dallas. There were nice paved pull through sites and a good gravel pad surrounded by grass. There were large trees, which seem rare in this part of Texas, but they were mainly on the perimeter back in sites. The restrooms looked…
I absolutely love going here to camp! There's like never anyone, there, so it's always quiet and we don't have to worry about people starting crap for no reason
We read that there were big trees for shade, and the pool was open 24 hours/day. It sounded lovely. When we arrived we were given a site where you could see the trees, but none nearby for shade. The neighbors had "acquired" the picnic table for our site. They had a tire and other junk stacked…
We actually booked online a couple weeks in advance just in case and had no issue with the check in, we fished, swam and had a great time.... there weren’t a ton of people there and everyone was friendly The campground was close enough to the water to pull the kayaks across to
This is a very nice C.O.E. campground. 95 improved camping spots. About half of them back up to Haurika Reservoir. All sites have either 30 or 50 amp service. Water is only on designated sites so be diligent when searching for a site. The park itself is as old as the lake. Bathrooms are old and…
Not sure what was up, but this campsite is gated off and locked with no trace of anyone having been there for quite some time. Try at your own risk, just don't plan to stay here and roll in at 10 pm like we did.
plenty to do with the kids . place is very clean . bathrooms are nice . staff is great
Caution- Google Maps has no idea where the entrance to this campground is. Entry was very easy and the Ranger on duty was extremely helpful. There is lot's of space in Section 1 but through out the campground there are not very many full hookup sites.
Pros: Nice patio pads at most sites,…
The roads to the area are paved and fairly decent, though the stretch on CR 2461 is quite narrow. Forrest Road 904, where the dispersed camping is located, is hard packed gravel and in fairly good shape. We parked our 36’ Class A on the side of FR 904, just inside the gate, unhooked our Cherokee…

First trip here last week, early April. Remote, quiet, simple beauty. Easy access, cool area. Worth checking out for a low profile weekender or hike.

Hard to say if RVs are really allowed here, bit we had no problem. A small class C or B would be no problem.
Super clean, nice wooded area and, of course, the lake--beautiful.
Only $17 a night for water and 30 amp hookups. No internet, and close to the highway so expect traffic noise. Verizon has decent coverage. There are some hiking trails and a bridge that would have been neat to explore, unfortunately we were rained out and didn't get the chance.
