Shelter from the Storm

We stayed here 2/13/21 to 2/18/21 during the Texas Extreme Cold and Snow event!

We had originally planned to go to Junction after our time in Lockhart State Park, but wanted to get further South away from the snow and cold. We easily switched our reservation to here although it was supposed to be…

Wonderful!

I love this park. Plenty of spots, different options. Two pools, rec center, activities. Best part is the boardwalk to the beach where you can drive over with your golf cart and get to the town via the beach access roads.

Nice campground, if a little odd

We were in site 23 for 3 days. The sites were level, but are oddly arranged in pairs, sharing a wide pad, with the utilities in the middle, which puts them on the wrong side for one of the RVs, though most RVs wouldn’t have an issue reaching them. It also puts that sites covered picnic table on the…

Early Spring get away

Early spring 21 just went and had a blast. Fairly packed now that the state opened up fully. Over all though that time was perfect weather for kayaking and hiking the short trails that this park has. Tent camping is great and the spots are well payed out with plenty of space between them. Shower…

Great Beach

Beautiful sandy beach in an unspoiled, undeveloped natural area. The campground is essentially a big parking lot, no privacy, no trees.

Nice beach park

We camped in the RV area, which has electrical hook ups and water but you have to drive to the dump station. There are nearby bathrooms which are newly renovated and nice, although occasionally people using them to clean off from visiting the beach will make a big mess. Not just sand, but swim…

Very nice!

Call last minute and score! i was expecting a higher price for being so close to downtown Corpus Christi and North beach, just 12-15 min. Level concrete pads full hook ups and very nice manager. Quiet place even when it was pretty full.

Nice and quiet.

We stopped for the night on the way into North Padre Island. It was a perfect stop after a long day of driving. The sites are large and well spaced. With 50 amp power and water at each site as well as a dump station at the entrance, it has all we need. And it was fun listening to an owl just after…

The Best

This is by far the best RV park in the area and the best I have ever stayed in. We were here over 2 months. We were there through the bid cold snap Texas suffered in February. Everyone there was helpful and just great to be with. The staff is first class. All of the spots are paved and some have…

Super Nice til checked in

The resort personnel were wonderful over the phone and at check in. After that we were escorted to our site by a very stern man. He stated we should follow his instructions which caused us to hit another campers truck when our rear end swung around. He made a very big deal out of it and told the…

Close to the Beach

This is a county park with two camp areas. The older area is a "parking area" with a table, water and electric. Current cost is $25/night. The new area is more traditional RV camping with water, electric and sewer. Current cost is $50/night. Tent camping in the newer area includes water and…
