Ok for our pop up, skeeterville at night

We arrived late Friday evening after hours. The gates are still open but overwhelming with skeeters everywhere. All sites were overgrown with tall grass/weeds. Walmart/ HEB grocery just under 9 miles away. Bathrooms had toilet paper and free hot showers. The lake ramp is perfect for paddle boat…

Great lake

This camp ground was great. We tent camped by the water in section 3 and had the whole site to our self. The lake was nice to canoe on and had a beautiful view of the sunset.

The bathrooms were to far to walk so we had to drive to them ever time and there were no showers so this was a…

Clean, beautiful, peaceful.

The campgrounds are very clean and quiet. Everyone has been so friendly. Bathrooms are spacious and well kept. We were in spot 11. There is a nice amount of trees and greenery, but zero view of the water. Unless you go 6 or more sites down to the boat ramp and circle back down the ramp, there…

Tent camping

This is a gorgeous place to camp. We did tent camping this pass week. Our camp site was right by the water an absolutely gorgeous view to wake up to. I will definitely come back. The only draw back was the winds, they were so strong they shattered our tent poles. So i would recommend to definitely…

Great campground with hiking and mountain biking

This is a nice campground with spacious sites right on the lake with covered picnic tables. The park has many miles of mountain bike and hiking trails. The one downside is that the sites do not have decent sized trees so I expect this would not be a great place to stay in the middle of summer.

Very nice

I stayed there for 3 months in my 24 foot motorhome. They usually have a waiting list. Very nice park with mostly permanent residents. Lots of trees. River access. Bathrooms with showers, laundry room, fenced dog park, common areas with rec room, huge grassy area.

Good place to stop for night

Park was clean. Staff was friendly. Quick access to austin and georgetown. Lots of long termers. Had a weird vibe.

Beautiful Lake

This is a beautiful, well maintained and very clean park. We were a little concerned about camping here in July with no shade. The breeze off the lake really helped make the 100 degree days better. The water is crystal clear, so we just went down and hopped in the water when it got to hot. We also…

6 site Spacious Lakeside Boondocking

6 boondocking sites on the lake with waterless restrooms, trash dumpster, boat ramp, and tons of wildlife, the non invasive kind, ie, dear, water fowl, squirrel, fish, and otter.

Convenient and affordable location

We have had a couple of stays here in our 26-ft travel trailer and really enjoyed the cleanliness and convenience. Good customer service and will definitely visit again!

Great Spot

10 acres in the Texas hill country. Located minutes from Burnet and Lampasas. Highly wooded and secluded with great hill country views. If you are up for a relaxing getaway and getting back in touch with mother nature, this is the spot.

Camped out of the campsite near the lake

We ended up not following our AllTrails after a fork in the road heading towards the campsite, and were pretty pooped so decided to camp there off Sawyer Campsite Rd. People had clearly used the shore as a campsite before as there was a makeshift fire pit and some cleared areas for tents. water and…

Beautiful Texas Campsite

It was my first time camping in maybe 15 years. I wanted to pick a campsite that was affordable, not too far of a drive, and seemed primitive enough to feel like camping, while still having amenities like a bathroom and water, if need be.

This had it all. It’s at the head of a trail, just near the…

River Water

Be sure to test the water before entering. It's seems harmess and may very well be harmless but it will make you and your pets stinky. Easy access to low current knee high water below the damage and easy and fun to walk/ wade around in but again, will lightly stain your clothes and have you…
