Nice basic overnight spot

Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice little pool. Several small fenced dog parks. Well kept grounds. Nice pull through concrete pads that are level.

Large spaced out sites.

Stayed here after the snowmagedon storm. The park facilities were clean. And the staff friendly.

Rock climbing and kayaking

LMWSP has tons of activities for the family. You can spend the day exploring and climbing the rock formations, bring climbing gear if you plan to get to the top. You can also spend your day on the water, swimming on the beach, fishing from a pier or exploring the shoreline by kayak. Primitive,…

Wish we had stayed here

We didn't actually camp here. We were camped nearby at Possum Kingdom State Park and came here to check things out. The sites were large, wooded with privacy. Lots of cool trails. Lots of birds around the lake.

My favorite

One of my favorite Texas state parks. Ve RT y nice campground on a lake. But do NOT miss the penitentary. Cliffs forming a prison below used during the civil war. Amazing rock structure with rock climbers.

Great for hiking and climbing

Pretty accessible if you live in Tarrant County for day tripping. Covid restrictions keep us out on our first attempt to visit the park. Our second trip we made reservations for a day pass. We went to hike aloo g rocky cliff side of the lake. The hike is longer than you’d think and less interesting…

No complaints. Campsites were large and not to close together. Restrooms near our sites were clean, and people were friendly.

Boat dock is near the turkey roost campground. Skiing, swimming, fishing, ride your sea-doos, we've even cliff dived…

Level concrete spots

The host bends over backwards to make your stay pleasurable, Larry escorted us to our pull through cement location and made sure we had everything we needed.

Woodland creatures!

In full disclosure we live near Benbrook Lake so it's easy to come to Holiday Park for a quick outdoor getaway. I love this park, but I might be biased. Sites 97-99 have perfect trees for hammocks. On this particular trip a pair of raccoons broke into our food crate in the middle of the night and…
