Resort Style Camping

This is literally the best campground for families. There are tons of activities, games, crafts, pools, petting zoo, water park, and more. We love it here. We will come again soon!

Lake View, Toilets, Water, Free

Peaceful Army Corps of Engineer park with 12 sites, half are shaded. Clean vault toilets, dumpsters, and water between most sites, covered picnic tables and fire pits, a few have stand up grills. Some locals take the sites for day use fishing so those might open up towards evening. Entry gate…

Rock climbing and kayaking

LMWSP has tons of activities for the family. You can spend the day exploring and climbing the rock formations, bring climbing gear if you plan to get to the top. You can also spend your day on the water, swimming on the beach, fishing from a pier or exploring the shoreline by kayak. Primitive,…

Dino tracks along the Pauluxy River

We've enjoyed exploring DVSP for several years and have had many great overnight camps. The Pauluxy River runs through the middle of the park and you can find awesome dinosaur tracks along the shallow edge of the river. The camping spots are well maintained and have waking trails that connect the…

Wish we had stayed here

We didn't actually camp here. We were camped nearby at Possum Kingdom State Park and came here to check things out. The sites were large, wooded with privacy. Lots of cool trails. Lots of birds around the lake.

Bet it’s great in summer!

We stayed here January 26 -31, 2021 on the first stop of a 3 month escape from Northern Wisconsin winter. I’m guessing it’s great when it’s warm and you have a boat. It was always windy. Concessions store closed for remodeling. Construction on cabin near our site. Nice bathrooms, shower water not…

Great Experience

We arrived around midnight. There was a warm breeze blowing. Big ants strolled nearby but are easily avoidable. The place is right on a lake. The restroom is close by. It was a great experience! Would stay again. We did not see any possums but did see a large female dear grazing.

Family Fun

This typically isn’t our type of park but the kids enjoyed it. We went in October and they had some fun Halloween activities. Site was pull through but pretty tight and close to neighbor. Probably worth paying for premium. Nice large dog park and clean restrooms/bathhouse.

Google Maps needs Help

Caution- Google Maps has no idea where the entrance to this campground is. Entry was very easy and the Ranger on duty was extremely helpful. There is lot's of space in Section 1 but through out the campground there are not very many full hookup sites.

Pros: Nice patio pads at most sites,…

Awesome family camping

We loved Dinosaur Valley. Tons of great hiking for young kids to enjoy, our family especially loved exploring the river and finding the dino tracks.

We stayed in a campsite directly next to the bathroom, so we saw a lot of people walking through, but it was quiet at night. The showers and men's…

Camping at Texas State Parks

I've camped at several Texas State Parks recently. They're very nice places to camp at. Restrooms are well kept. Some are free and can stay up to 14 days.

Loved it!

Every site is pull through with full hookups and has a fire ring & picnic table! Staff was very friendly and store had all the essentials. Clean restroom and shower (1 stall), pet friendly and beautiful pool/ hot tub. Right across the street from Dinosaur World (which our 2 year old loved) and…

The six flags of all jellystones

We are from Houston and I opt to drive 4 hours to this one in burleson. Waller is good fun but that park does not compare to this site. The website doesn’t do burleson/n Texas jellystone justice for how good it actually is. Bring bikes!

Convenience

My husband and I stayed at Dinosaur Valley RV Park (DVRVP) on two separate occasions in last four weeks. We stayed 1 night during our first time at DVRVP and 2 nights during our second stay.

Here are our pros: 1.) DVRVP shares a property line with DVSP. Guests are able to purchase a day pass…
