    Sunsational Family Campground

    I would not recommend to anyone

    This campground is nothing as stated in the reviews.  And now I know why.  The one review on here besides mine is from the owner.  The bathrooms are not clean. I was told for Labor Day weekend I could stay for two nights had reserved and all.  They then abruptly cancelled my reservation and took three days to respond and say I could have a different cabin and tent sight but would need to stay three nights because of the holiday.   They also charged a cleaning for a service pet which is not legal.  We then showed up and were the only people staying that weren’t seasonal site people and very not welcomed.  The first comment made was here come the weekend warriors.  We look at the cabin which was ironically filthy and covered in mouse poop yet we got charged a cleaning fee.  The grass was not mowed the porter potty’s so gross bugs are crawling in the bottom.  The camp store was closed during the car show they had and when we asked when it will be open they stated it will not.  It was 1 pm on a Saturday.  The reservation process was unorganized.  The playground was not mowed or weed whacked and a slide is ratchet strapped together.   I would not recommend this place to anyone.

    Indian Head Campground

    Newbie here

    Was my first ever camping trip with a travel trailer. Site was very clean and well maintained and staff was friendly and great to deal with. Pull through sites (section K) was a little tight - maybe that’s the norm, don’t have anything to compare to but some awnings were near the neighboring camper. Overall, awesome experience.

    Here is a polished version of your campground review that improves grammar, clarity, and flow while keeping your observations and friendly tone: We stayed at Site #2 over Labor Day weekend for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The campsite is spacious and features a large open area with picnic tables and plenty of room for kids to run and play. Each campsite is surrounded by trees, which provides a nice sense of privacy. Even though there are approximately 25 campsites in the campground, it was very quiet and peaceful. There are several pit toilets located throughout the campground, all of which were very clean and well maintained. The campground also has four water spigots; however, during our stay they were not functioning due to storm-related issues. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful, and firewood was available for purchase on-site. Surprisingly, there were not many bugs, especially considering the heavy rains before our arrival and during our first night. Several beautiful hiking trails can be accessed directly from the campground. Some sections were wet and muddy, with a few fallen trees from recent storms, but the trails were still enjoyable. For hiking enthusiasts, the Ministry Creek Trail, located about 16 minutes away, is a must-see and absolutely worth the visit. Overall, this is a quiet, scenic campground with excellent privacy, friendly hosts, and great access to hiking. We would definitely stay here again.

    Moon Lake Recreation Area Campground — Pinchot State Forest

    Quiet camping

    Just a few others here so it is quite peaceful. A one mile walk gets you to the lake. They have a covered pavilion with plenty of picnic tables. My site is large with plenty of trees providing shade. The outhouse is a bit of a walk. Garbage cans are inside it. I haven’t seen a water source but it might be around.

    Riverview Campsites, Benezette PA

    Very nice and quiet. Shower and rest rooms were exemplary, clean and spacious

    Great central location for exploring the area. Includes some of the darkest skies around for stargazing which was a plus for me. Staff and owners were very great! Highly recommend for a short or a long stay.

    Clarion River Campground

    Awesome camping area!

    Only gave it four stars because it’s not so easy to find a spot, especially if you have an RV. We got pretty lucky with our spot seemed like the only one that was left but besides that amazing place. Site was relatively clean had a lot of eggshells and some toilet paper left over from the last campers in the tree line. Given the chance I would stay again!
