    Hocking Hills Jellystone Campground

    Shouldn’t be called Jellystone

    Jellystone Hocking Hills Ohio Don’t waste your money! I reserved a full hook up deluxe site with patio. Was supposed to be a level concrete slab. It was not! It was all gravel and dirt. No concrete whatsoever. This deluxe site sloped down so when you had a fire( weren’t allowed to move fire pit) your chairs went down hill and I fell almost every night. They brought in a crushed zone but it didn’t help the situation. Owner told us he would credit us some money back since the site wasn’t as promised, he did not. The playground was a mess. Old and nasty. The jump pad didn’t hold much air, so kids would jump on and sink right o the ground. The mining area was not locked so kids got into the pump and electrical areas which was dangerous for the little ones. YOGI BEAR MADE ONE 15 MINUTE APPEARANCE IN 5 DAYS. The schedule showed daily appearances at least daily if not more than once daily, which is how other Jellystones have been for us. MY GRANDSON was so sad. He had been looking forward to this trip for months, and recalled our prior JELLYSTONE stay at Watts Bar Lake in Tennessee, which was a totally different experience than this awful Hocking hills Jellystone. We repeatedly asked about Yogi appearances and were told“Yogi was busy and maybe he would come tomorrow“. The owner made so many excuses like,“my concrete guy didn’t show up last week” that’s why we didn’t have our concrete level patio site that we paid for. The playground didn’t have mulch cause his guy didn’t show up last week. The jump pad didn’t work right because his guy didn’t show up. The new pool wasn’t completed because his guy didn’t show up. Even the yogi bear statue they show in their picture wasn’t there. The pool they did have was in the owners backyard and you had to drive to it. It was slimed and disgusting. I have never been so disappointed. We drove 4.5 hours to get there specifically so my grandkids could camp at a Jellystone with Yogi Bear around. I don’t know how they are allowed to be a Jellystone, they are definitely not up to par. I’m sure we aren’t the only family to pay jellystones higher prices so the kids could see Yogi and friends daily. I could go on…there really were so many bad things about this place, but I see this review is very long. I will attach some photos

    We found this campground on The Dyrt and called when we were about an hour away. Super friendly folks who gave us a spot which was just right for us as we only needed an overnight stay on our way to Michigan.

    Tee Pee Family Campground

    Overnight just okay - better for long term campers

    We were traveling home and needed a place to stay for the night and hoped for full hookup.  Looked up and found this place and another that was reportedly 3x the number of sites who was having a big hog roast that evening.  This was the largest campground we stayed at during our 2 week trip and our first RV trip generally.  The spaces were close (tight) and thankfully we had a small class C.  Many seemed to be permanent with full builds of patios and covers.  Firepits at each site were old tire rims.  Quiet hours are late (11 PM) and we are not late people.  Probably fine if you want to spend time engaging with everyone around you, you sleep well and have good sound dampening in your rig.  For the occasional overnight to just get home or to the next place, take this place for what it is, a place for long term campers ideally with kids.  Was a good learning opportunity to avoid such places in the future.

    Hidden Acres Campground

    Excellent campground

    Friendly staff. Quiet campground sites. Extremely sociable neighbors. Participated in bingo. Has a great lake, fishing catch and release, and can rent a kayak. Nice size pool. Firewood is available. Highly recommend this campground.

    Indian Lake Adventures

    This Is A Review

    Campground is clean and quiet.

    Camp sites are grassy surrounding a flat gravel park site. Sites are wooded with good amounts of shade. There are very few nightly sites - most of the sites here are seasonal only. We were here in the second week of June and hardly saw a soul outside their camper or walking around the campground.

    Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Showers don't have benches or shelves. The water smells strongly of sulfur.

    Camp Brewing is the brewery at the entrance of the campground. Highly recommend a visit! Great variety of beers and excellent vibes. Dogs are allowed on the patio and they have a kitchen that makes pizza and wings.

    Overall, would stay here again. Wish there was a little more livelihood around the camp sites, but this is a great spot to enjoy the quiet.

    Punderson State Park Campground

    Nice campground

    Fishing, boating, clean areas. Nice fire pits, and nice cement pads. Gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the entry gate and shop doesnt always have employees in it. Closes early in day.
