Great overnight stay

We spent one night here (May 12, 2022). This is a very nice, easy access CG with wide, spacious, and level pull through and back-in gravel sites. There are a lot of activities available: indoor swimming pool, recreation room, entertainment center, fishing pond, biking (wish I brought my bike), walking, playground, basketball, horseshoes and corn hole. It is the largest shooting center (clays, skeet, pistol, rifle, archery) in the state. We did not have time to visit the clubhouse and did not make use of the bathrooms or showers. It is a great base camp to visit the area. The WiFi was great as was cell phone reception. We would definitely stay here again.

First camping trip 2020

This was our first camping trip after purchasing a new to us fifth wheel camper. We chose the Cardinal Camping Center because it was only 15 miles from our home. We arrived on Thursday afternoon registered and set up at our site. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we shared some fresh veggies from our garden as we had way too much for just us and asked the welcome center to tell people to help themselves to what ever they wanted. we then toured the campgroundand found the stocked fishing lake (catch and release) the indoor swimming pool. The camp also has some very nice cabins, no restrooms in the cabin but they are very close to the public restrooms and shower house. We then went over to the shooting center and tried our luck with some silliolet and metal targets on the pistol range. Thy also have trap and skeet available.

Our site had ful hook-ups 50 amp service with sewer and water picnic table and fire ring for $44 a night. All of the people next to us were very nice and everyone respected each other's sites.

I would go back to this campground again, we even extended our stay an extra day because we had such a good time.

Shooting Center and Camping

We have visited the Cardinal Center several times for shooting and waterfowl events but did camp there for the first time over Thanksgiving. We practically had the park to ourselves. They have a nice indoor pool and shower rooms attached. Also we typically shower in our camper, but since we were winterized we took advantage of the nice clean shower house. Will go back at some point. They have a nice fishing pond , cabins and game room. Definitely a nice family place. Also a shooting range of that is something you like.

Nice Campground

Nice campground with it’s own archery, pistol, and rifle range that you need to travel to, but not too far away. There are plenty of sites, the camp sites in the middle tend to be more like your normal site with grass and fire rings. The outside sites are mostly gravel with not every site having a fire ring. We ended up making our own with big rocks. They do have a small pond stocked with fish that has gazebo overlooking the pond. In addition, they have a pool, pool tables, and a play ground. You do have to pay to swim and play pool. The pool tables are a little torn up. We went the weekend it was Fall fest. Plenty of activities for the kids! Trick or treat, glow parade, decorate your own pumpkin, etc! Overall, nice campground and place to stay if you are looking for a spot.

Breezy, tree full, affordable.

This campground is near Columbus, OH. We go there every summer to camp with our trap/skeet/sporting. clay shooting team. The sites are full of trees for tent campers, hammock hangers and tree climbing. Game room, indoor pool and fishing. Clean baths ALWYS.

Easy access off I-71

We camped here off season and really enjoyed it. Our site was on a cul de sac and was close to the pool. The sites and road were gravel. They have an indoor pool, stocked fishing pond, and an indoor clubhouse with a pool table. The sites next to us were empty but the way it was set up, the site next to us would have had an rv angled right behind us. Our site was wooded with nice shade.
