Located on Ohio's northeastern shoreline, 698-acre Geneva State Park reflects the character and charisma of Lake Erie. The shimmering expanse of the lake lures vacationers who enjoy fishing and boating at Geneva on the lake. Swimmers rejoice in the beautiful sand beach while nature enthusiasts retreat to the park's freshwater marshes and estuaries. Overnight accommodations include a family campground, cedar cabins, rooms at the lodge, and cottages.
This campground is near access to Lake Erie, which was very nice! The campground has nice spots, but they aren’t very secluded/private. The campground has bathrooms and showers. Geneva on the lake is a short drive away and was a cute little town to visit!
Granted this was our first outing in our mini class c but it was great. Our site was very clean with cement pad and level blacktop drive. A short bike ride connects you to some nice trails to ride into the small town. We ate at the state lodge and it was excellent. Staff was friendly At campground and overall was peaceful And quiet. We will return
Most fun I ever had while camping best place to go!
Stayed here one night. Nice beach! Didn’t have bikes but nice and flat for riding. Clean bath houses. Shaded sites. Ohio Golden Buckeye Card holders camp for half price Sunday-Thursday.
I would go again. Only a few full hookup sites/reserve early. Several W/E sites though. They also have a dump station and a fish cleaning house! Very well kept! Plenty of shade, nice breeze from the lake, all blacktop sites with plenty of grass & woods. Tent or RV you are sure to like it here. It is peaceful and relaxing.
Great campground with bike trails leading all the way in to Geneva By the Lake where you will find entertainment for the family.
Nice spot but can get crowded when full. Nearby beach.
The state is in the process of upgrading this campground. A few sites will soon have water, electric, and sewer. Right now they only have electric options. Ohio requires prior reservations or check in to use sites outside of designated walkin areas. There is a beach nearby. The playground isn't exciting and campers cant use the cabin playground which is across the street. Our site was water logged and there was straw at a lot of sites absorbing water.
Lots to do in area, but can be loud with lots of people.
We enjoyed our stay in May. Camping area was muddy after several days of intermittent showers. Didn’t drain/dry quickly. Close to town. Wish the campsites were closer to the water. Nice trails. We had an issue with wasps by the restroom door which was taken care of promptly (I’m allergic). Was not impressed with the Park Host. Not friendly, their dogs barked non-stop when left alone in the trailer and they let their dogs run loose.
