Great campground for fishing

We stayed here 28th-30th of August . It’s been my kids favorite so far this yr, probably mine as well. Main reason we had a vacant lot on either side of us and our lot (a24) was right on water. Everyone was friendly that passed or worked there . Not once were we bothered . Our kids age 4 and 8 fished from sun up Saturday to about noon and then sporadically after that throughout the day. That night we hunted large bull frogs . All catch and release . I’d say a-27 would’ve been better site as the dumpsters were right across from us where we were. Overall it was a great wkend even w heavy rains Friday night . The park has no paved roads and their dump station is not state of the art like some state parks , but works fine as I washed out tanks thoroughly and even treated both tanks w no pressure . My only negative is I wish camp store ( or where you check in ) sold bait . I had 12 crawlers that the kids cut in thirds and ran out very quickly . Researching where to find live bait was too far so they used long fake worms pink/purple , watermelon, or some spinner baits . Still caught plenty of fish! Our 2 dogs ran around our site enjoying the wkend as well. Great low key, inexpensive campground to enjoy a quiet relaxing wkend fishing . We ll definitely be back.

Averagely Kool Family Campground

My friends and I were going to a festival in the Northeast Ohio area. The festival camping was full, so we stayed at this location for a night. The sites are very affordable if split between little people. This very family orientated campground has a gravel road system connecting a ton of camp spots, RV locations, mobile homes, a playground, a swimming lake, and a even a fishing lake. The ground itself is huge, so kids can have fun and run around with other kids in nearby sections of the campgrounds. Overall there are a ton of amenities and very friendly staff. We told the office lady we would be back late at night, and she gave us a special passcode to the gate. That was super kind of her. The land isn’t particularly pretty and the campsite for tent camping are rather close together, but it’s a good location overall for RV’s. I wouldn’t recommend this location if you’re trying to enjoy nature, because sites are pretty close together and certainly not secluded. There are positives for tent campers including water taps, outlets, trash receptacles, bathrooms, and hot showers.
