Bit of a drive to get down to but they just redid the roads so roads are nice. Locals with 4 wheelers pretty much dominate the area. But it’s still not to bad a place. Bring in everything you need. All they provide is the space.
Been to this area a few time the sites are amazing quiet and beautiful, the trail up is bumpy and fun. The site had a fire pit and in winter everything was covered in snow and just breath taking. The town has supplies but is over priced so fuel up before going up there.

Been here a few times for camping and day use, wild horse sometimes roaming threw the site, tables and fire pits, sometimes there's a stream but lately been either dry or very little water, bathrooms are hit or miss with Flys and smelly, they have trash cans but other seem to over fill them so…

Nice 4WD area south of Wickenburg. Established rock fire ring (until next major Monsoon rain) in Box Wash area. Too hot during summer! Nice during winter. Please remember to pack it in, pack it out. Nice area to look for critters during summer nights.

As I usually do in places like this I will advise you should have an suv or truck and 4wd before even bothering with this area.
It’s remote as can be and there isn’t a single thing out here including cell service
As far as the camp site well it’s about a 40mi trek through the empty desert to…

Such a nice quiet campground which I love to camp at if I have to pay for one which isn’t too often.
About 20 spots give or take with most being big enough for your bigger rigs.
Clean Toilets, water, etc and all the amenities you expect from a FS CG.
Spots have the usual table and fire ring…
Good place to set up while hitting some trails here in AZ!
Small campground only 20 sites maybe. Quiet with nearby hiking and biking even a little lake.
Great campground. Driving distance or short walk to lake. No Verizon cell service.
Easy to find, but sites are primarily soft sand. Our van got stuck and had to be towed out.
Took a trip out to the water and explored while in the Jeep.
This is my go-to local campground, a quick 20 minute drive, and I’ve been camping here for years! The facilities are always clean, and the other campers are generally quiet and respectful here. The sites are spaced out nicely, and it has never felt crowded to me even during the busy season.
Beautiful and dark and quiet. No one out here. Close enough to explore Sedona during the day.
It s free and very beautiful. But midway through our Mother’s Day camping trip me and kids was told to leave he said we was not allowed to shoot our air soft gun, we said ok and start to put it away, then was told oh you have to leave because they was closing the park. They passed by everyone else…
