Easy & Beautiful

Easy pull-off from 15. Lovely sunset location Quiet, apart from highway noise.

rocky trail, peaceful

like others have said, there’s a bit of trash. i’m on arizona trust land beyond the huge empty lot ($15 per year) and it really is peaceful except for the occasional trucks passing. don’t go too deep without a 4x4 and big tires and bring firewood

State trust and BLM

the large open area is actually AZ State Trust land and you need a $15/$20 permit, unless you go out to the BLM. Close to I15 so noisy, but cell signal is good. Area by hwy ramp is just a dumping trash area and a semi-parking overnite area, but the smaller two track roads meander out to better sites. The main graded road is the mine haul access so expect large trucks hauling gypsum?

Right off the freeway

We stopped here when we rented an rv!! Our doggies needed to go potty.. but it was late at night so no light!!! But the reason it’s rated low is only because how dirty it was... and that’s just what I could see with the rv lights so super annoyed about the amount of trash people leave!!! Please clean up after your selves it’s nasty and annoying as hell!!! Ughh this was more of a rant but if you want free it’s here!! And it’s right after you go through the scary Arizona pass so if you need something it’s there but wouldn’t stay long unless your able to drive and see nicer places in the day time. Also on the way back to vegas it’s a good place to pull over stretch your legs etc... Be careful when you go to pull over the road could use some work.

Beautiful views just off the highway

No frills, dispersed camping location just off the highway at the Arizona / Utah border. Great sunset/sunrise views. For more secluded spots, follow signs to the gypsum mine about a mile past where everyone else sets up camp.

Next to highway

There was a sign that says you need an Arizona Land Pass, which would cost $20 for a family. This spot had no special view only of the highway, good for a quick night stop.

Open, safe space

Got here at 1am after almost getting run over in our tent by a drunk driver at another campsite.

We could hear the trucks over yonder but it was a nice background noise. No lights so the stars were beautiful.
