Another Good TX State Park

Stayed only one night on my way to another site! Big camping spots with Fit Pit and Grill (separate). Picnic Table with coverage and great unobstructed views! Quiet even though you are relatively close to the housing and traffic intersections!

Lost power because of a huge rainstorm but it’s was…

The caverns off the I 10

This is a family run business. They were very friendly and accommodating. The cavern tour is $20 but we’ll worth it. -Pleasant coolness after a long hot drive. The tour guide was knowledgeable. I didn’t really visit the gift shop but it looked interesting. For sure worth a visit if you are in the…

Great State Park

We stayed at this campground 5 nights.  Level Asphalt.  One Shade Tree on our site that helped a bit with the summer heat.  Husband was hoping to fish in the lake but it is pretty dried up.  Plenty of roads and trails to run and bike.  Drove into town and had dinner at Zero Ale House.  Biggest…

River bend campsite 1

Probably the most private site at these grounds. Not as great of a river view as campsite 2 though. Paved picnic area and fire ring were nice accommodations. Located right at a driveway down to the river.

River Bend Campsite 2

This was a campsite with a nice view, except for the power line running through it. Went right after Texas’s big freeze so it was absolutely empty. Great paved picnic area and fire ring were nice accommodations. Located near a driveway down to the river. This site might not have been super private…

Nice Sites - If you can snag the full hookups

Really well maintained famcamp. Even the full timers there kept their sites neat and tidy unlike some we’ve been to.

The water and electric sites had no shade whatsoever. And the full hookups are first come first serve. So beware of you need or want to visit in the summer. I mean hades.

Oh. No…

Very Nice Campground

Well maintained full sefvice park with plenty of amenities. More than we are used to. The price was average for 30 amp hookups with wifi, cable tv, restrooms, shower and laundry. There is an onsite pool and game room, trash pickup, dog park, and the lake is a short drive away. Parking is level…

Nice state park

Everything was very clean. The camp sites are well spaced out for a state park. Not far out of town.. Convenient.

Great Open Range Camping

We boondocked in a primitive site with our 36’ RV. Clean, covered picnic table, plenty hiking and biking trails. If you can enjoy the desert, you will love this place!

Great single track trails

Excellent camp site. Very dispersed and most have picnic tables with shade awnings which are great for hammocks. Bathrooms were fine. Miles of off-road Bike trails were well marked and varied from easy to technical.

Lock your doors

This place is at a run down truck stop. Looks like it was cool at some point but now it’s little more than a place to park and plug in. Wanna haggle over buying some broken down gutted lawn mowers? They got ya fam! Tired of worrying and corona virus? It will be the least of your worries in this…

Nice open prairie campsites; bathrooms need updating

We have enjoyed staying at San Angelo State Park because of the natural things it offers. We stayed in the Red Arroyo campground. The sites are large and well-spaced apart. You don't have much privacy due to the lack of trees since this is where the prairie and desert come together, but the…
