Ok for our pop up, skeeterville at night

We arrived late Friday evening after hours. The gates are still open but overwhelming with skeeters everywhere. All sites were overgrown with tall grass/weeds. Walmart/ HEB grocery just under 9 miles away. Bathrooms had toilet paper and free hot showers. The lake ramp is perfect for paddle boat…

Great lake

This camp ground was great. We tent camped by the water in section 3 and had the whole site to our self. The lake was nice to canoe on and had a beautiful view of the sunset.

The bathrooms were to far to walk so we had to drive to them ever time and there were no showers so this was a…

Secluded and quiet

The other reviews sum up the area around the cg, so I thought I'd share an opinion of the cg itself. The pads are level concrete with a gravel patio area, a metal picnic table, a nice fire ring and a lantern pole. The front gate locks at 8:30 but they give you a pass code to get in with. Verizon…

Clean, beautiful, peaceful.

The campgrounds are very clean and quiet. Everyone has been so friendly. Bathrooms are spacious and well kept. We were in spot 11. There is a nice amount of trees and greenery, but zero view of the water. Unless you go 6 or more sites down to the boat ramp and circle back down the ramp, there…

Tent camping

This is a gorgeous place to camp. We did tent camping this pass week. Our camp site was right by the water an absolutely gorgeous view to wake up to. I will definitely come back. The only draw back was the winds, they were so strong they shattered our tent poles. So i would recommend to definitely…

Great campground with hiking and mountain biking

This is a nice campground with spacious sites right on the lake with covered picnic tables. The park has many miles of mountain bike and hiking trails. The one downside is that the sites do not have decent sized trees so I expect this would not be a great place to stay in the middle of summer.

Good place to stop for night

Park was clean. Staff was friendly. Quick access to austin and georgetown. Lots of long termers. Had a weird vibe.

Beautiful and quiet

East access to a quiet, beautiful place to stay in the country. Bring your fishing pole-both a creek and lake for guests to catch and release. Everyone we talked to was very friendly and welcoming. Stayed one night and took advantage of the hot shower, laundry, and fishing. Highly recommend. Not…

Not our favorite place

Very average park.pack trailers in like sardines and camp host was not help at all. We were put next to some kids who drank and puked all over our site. Very bad experience. We actually left our rv and got an airbnb in a cute town near by town just to escape this place. Also hope your class a or…

Beautiful Lake

This is a beautiful, well maintained and very clean park. We were a little concerned about camping here in July with no shade. The breeze off the lake really helped make the 100 degree days better. The water is crystal clear, so we just went down and hopped in the water when it got to hot. We also…

Filthy women’s restroom

This park is a short drive to all of Waco attractions including the famous Silos. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights.

Pros:

• Very friendly gate attendant

• Extremely quiet park except for arriving/departing aircraft at Waco Regional Airport

• Great view of the lake as trees/shrubs are…

Convenient location & Clean Amenities

We stayed here for three nights as a shake down for our new camper as we transitioned to full-time RV life. The reservation process was fairly straightforward and all the prices were slightly higher than other campgrounds in the area, it was conveniently located while we were testing out the…

Beautiful campground for long term residents

RV camper here. I rate campgrounds from the viewpoint of wanting a place for a brief family vacation. When we arrived here we made a reservation online (easy) so that was good. But the woman up front had trouble finding our reservation and was unpleasant (happily we had a screenshot). I think she’s…
