I had a great time at this park. Sites A and B are next to the day usage areas of the park, and are separated from the RV accessible areas. I found the site delightfully secluded - with a nice set of steps from the picnic table and fire pit right up to the tent pad. Water spigots are everywhere -…
I visited the Shortleaf camping area in the Tyler State Park for the weekend to participate in a 50k trail race. Each campsite in this area has a sheltered cabin, picnic table, fire pit and 2 parking spots. Tent camping is also permitted on the site but I used my iKamper Roof Top Tent as my primary…

We brought our Springdale Mini by Keystone to The Boulders for our first ever camping trip and could not have had a better experience. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Concrete sites made setup and leveling super easy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - when we mentioned it…

This state park is usually full and booked far in advance for a reason. It’s beautiful! Lots of upland pine and hardwood bottomlands with history. You can hike in the footsteps of those who traversed the Camino Real and visit the commemorative mission built by the CCC in 1934 to remember the…

Classic C.C.C. park, quite and clean. Plenty of hiking trails through the majestic pine trees. Water and electricity at each site and a dump station at the entrance of campground.
This campground really has no outside noise from anywhere. It is wonderfully quiet. The office and other working staff are very friendly and informative about things to do in the area. The wifi is strong, and the sites are level. we will definitely be back to stay in the area again on our trips…
We camped for 1 night and swimmer during summer for a friends birthday. The area is marked clearly with a deck in the middle of water. This helps you take a nice swim with adequate rest at the other end. Fun place for kids.
The camping isn’t primitive as such but it has campsites segregated by bushes, ensuring privacy. We went here both in summer and winter and found the facilities adequate.

Went here with the kids and my brother in law and his family. Was able to get 2 spots side by side right by the water park.
Kids loved every minute of our stay! Had plenty of things to keep them busy! Will be back soon!
This point is first come first serve, find any spot you like. Primitive camping. Restrooms have recently been torn down and are going to be rebuilt. It's a great spot for Kayaking and other water sports, or just relaxing in the water. Also, a great place to watch 4th of July fire works show put on…
Purtis Creek State Park This was a very small park but it was quiet and peaceful. The primative sites are a .6 mile walk. The park office recommended site E because it was harder for people to see you if they are walking on the trail. It was a fantastic spot!

Smaller park with great amenities. Clean facilities and impeccable staff to assist you
My kids are already asking when we are coming back. The owners and staff are super friendly. The water park kept my kids happy the entire weekend. Only drawback was not open past 5 pm but I understand why (they do private parties). Plenty activities for kids. They set up a movie night on the…
Very good cross country mountain bike trails and hiking trails around the lake. You will need a mountain bike to ride the trails due to the roots.

Needed a place to stay with my truck and he gave me the fairest price from all the other places I called.
