A great free stop.

We just needed an overnight stop. This was perfect. Electric, water and a close dump. All free. They do appreciate donations.

Cost doesn’t match to what you get.

Stayed here for our first time. The site we were out was extremely uneven. Missing chunks of pavement. If you’re going to charge $40/night make sure to maintain the sites to those standards not $10/nught standardsz

Isolated and quiet with electric hookups. City park RV hookups are common in this area of the state. Tent campingnia welcome, however, if you frequent a toilet you're out of luck after park hours. The park has standard park amenities, no shower, and has a disc golf course. City accepts donations…

City park

This spot is good for self sufficient RVs. There are no facilities, but there are plenty of electric hookups for RVs. Playground is nice and of course the park is town center so amenities are nearby.

Beautiful lake, good travel stop

We like to stop and stay at this campground when traveling to/from colorado. It has a really pretty lake good for fishing and walking. We've been lucky it's never been crowded but word has it that this is a party spot on holiday weekends. It's also very expensive for what we're used to, at $30…

Great place to sleep while passing thru

Stopped for a few hours sleep on my way to Carlsbad Caverns. Clean place. A handful of other campers were also there but had room to spread out. Free electric for the night but suggest reading the sign in more detail If staying multiple nights. Directions were good, easy to find the place...saw a…

Average at best

Checkin is too time consuming. A line of RV’s to check in and one attendant to complete the checkin. Beautiful lake and open spaces. Sites were disappointing. Our site had two spots on it but a single water spout. We borrowed a Y connection for another site to get by. There are no camp hosts…

Depends what you are looking for..

If you are looking to soak in nature...Nope. Though it does have a nice pretty lake and some nice cliff backdrops.

If you are looking for quiet...nope

If you are looking for cheap...nope. I booked online for $17 and then had to pay $16 entry fee on top of that. For a primitive campground.

If you…

Nice get away in Lubbock

Overall, a pretty nice place to camp. Sites are clean and maintained. Same for public facilities. Marina, and restaurant at the boat ramps with live music on the weekends, in the warmer months. Fishing is pretty decent too. Place does get pretty packed on holidays, and tends to get alil rowdy and…

Free, and Grassy Areas

Not only is this city park free, but it has electric, water, and sewer, and well as dumpsters. Grass for those 4 legged friends.

There are no public restrooms, but the stores aren't that far away. I met some really nice people while there. I will always remember it fondly.

Nice City RV Park

This is a nice small park City owned RV Park with about 6 slots. This is a first come first served park no reservations. It has electric and water no sewer connects. The best yet it is free for three days.

Buffalo Springs Lake

Buffalo Sprinfs Lake and it’s campground is a nice place near Lubbock to get away. My high school “outdoors club” enjoys coming here to hike on the trails, kayak the lake, and camp. There are fire pits, bathrooms with running water, and a Marina restaurant on site. The Lubbock area is scarce on…
