South Central Texas is a prime area of the state to explore. Known far and wide as the Hill Country, it is so named for its rolling hills and woodlands. Famous for its excellent wineries, historic small towns and natural beauty, the Hill Country also boasts a unique offering for campers known as Enchanted Rock State Park. 


Enchanted Rock is a large pink granite dome that rises 425 feet above the surrounding terrain and is the largest granite monadock in the United States. Indians, Spaniards and early settlers all had stories of magical, spiritual or unexplained happenings around the rock which gave the feature its name. These days, one of the most intriguing sights is at night, after a rain. The wet dome seems to glitter in the moonlight and while regarded as a simple play of light on the granite, the effect adds to both the mystery and enchantment of the area. 


Another intriguing site in the Hill Country is Jacob’s Well, a short 78 miles southeast from Enchanted Rock State Park. Fed by a natural artesian spring, Jacob’s Well consists of a large pool connected to a vast underground cavern system that sprawls more than 4300 feet. The spring is connected to the Trinity Aquifer and emits thousands of gallons of water each day where visitors can enjoy the cool 68 degree water. Just under an hour and a half from Austin Texas and Waco, you'll have plenty to explore! 

Watch movies outside, or stare at the stars that are so bright in the big country sky. We also have telescopes for use. There's wild life, mostly deer, that run though the field. Visit with the horse Glory and donkey, they love apples . There are free range ducks, geese, chickens and one turkey. We love art and music and the great outdoors.



The Space:
In the heart of Texas you'll find our off the grid ranch campsite,  conveniently close to Austin and Waco. 

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Bedding and pillows
-Firewood for the campfire

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Welcome to Los Rios Campground! We are located in Camp Wood, TX on 900 front feet of the majestic Nueces River. Our campground consists of nearly 14 acres with 10 Cabins, 4 Tiny Homes, 5 RV Sites & several sites for Primitive Tent Camping. We are the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Time to unplug, reconnect, and let the river recharge you!

Check In/Out: Check in time is 3pm for Cabins & Tiny Homes and 1pm for RV Sites & Primitive Camping Sites. Arriving guests are welcome to arrive as early at 12pm on arrival date to begin use of campground facilities (including river access). However, please bear in mind that your accommodation may not be available/accessible for check in and use until designated check in time. Early arrivals must park in the overflow parking area (near the barn).



Check out time is 10am for all accommodations. However, after checking out, departing guests are welcome to continue their use of campground facilities (including river access) until 2pm of the departing day at no additional costs. Departing guests (after checking out and vacating accommodation at 10am) must park in the overflow parking lot (near the barn) to continue use of campground facilities. Please be sure to inform the office of your intention to stay beyond accommodation check out time.



We cannot guarantee the same cabin/site if you choose to extend your stay, but we'll darn sure try our best to make it happen Please check with the office as soon as you can to see about possible extensions.



Los Rios Campground

Union Grove Park is located on the southwestern shore of Stillhouse Hollow Lake in central Texas. The lake offers a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, large group pavilions, hunting, fishing and simply enjoying the scenery. This facility has RV and tent camping sites with water and electric hookups available, as well as three screen shelters available for guests without camping equipment. The facility is one of only two reservable campgrounds on the lake. Stillhouse Hollow Lake was created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with the construction of Stillhouse Hollow Dam in 1968. The 6,430-acre lake is located 16 miles upstream of the confluence of the Lampasas and Leon Rivers, which flow into the Little River. Recreation With 58 miles of shoreline, Stillhouse Hollow Lake is an often uncrowded haven for boaters and fishermen. The campground has a four-lane boat ramp, and visitors who do not have motor boats, canoes or kayaks can rent them nearby. Families can enjoy soaking up the sun and swimming at the beach within the facility, or hanging out at the playground. Birding is also a favorite pastime, with hawks, Great Blue herons, ducks, geese, many species of songbirds, bobwhite quail, Rio Grande turkey and even an occasional bald eagle, yielding year-round opportunities for bird sightings. Facilities The campground has more than 30 campsites, including RV and tent sites with electric hookups, double sites and screened shelters. The park offers restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, a swimming beach, fishing dock, playground and boat ramp. Natural Features Aside from two campgrounds and a nearby day-use park, very little of the lakeshore is developed. The edges consist of rocky beaches and sandy bluffs. Although much of the lake area is forested, the campground has rolling hills that are mostly open with little to no shade. Most campsites have a view of the water, with some right along the shoreline and others within a short walking distance. The lake has noticeably clear and deep water that is inhabited by largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, channel catfish and many birds. A man-made wetland was constructed on the south shore of the lake to provide an additional 10 acres of wildlife habitat in the lake area. Nearby Attractions Within a short drive, the Village of Salado offers golf, art galleries and shopping, among other pastimes. Chalk Ridge Falls Environmental Learning Center is below the Stillhouse Hollow Lake Dam. The center has about five miles of hiking trails, including a one-mile nature trail along the Lampasas River, a spring-fed creek, a waterfall, bridges and several wildlife viewing points.
