Quiet and Clean

Stayed 3 days, 2 nights from a Sunday-Wednesday and we practically had the place to ourselves. Helpful staff, clean bathrooms!

Comes as advertised! Really nice spot!

The spot I stayed is right on the marker.  There are multiple spots along the main forest road. Some you can drive your car in and tuck it back. Other spots you cant take your car at all.   There are tons of logging roads that split off the main forest road. They mostly have gates that say "Logging…

Remote with multiple hiking trailheads at campground

Remote and quiet campground. About 20% occupied on a weekend in early August. We claimed one of the many FF sites that were open. Sites are all large with privacy between, generally level, partial or full shade. Lots of very tall trees. Vault toilets, pumps for potable water. Intermittent Verizon…

Quiet and peaceful

One of our favorite campgrounds. Not a whole lot around but hiking and fishing. Beautiful streams. Clean campground.

Quiet Weekend

The campground is well kept, the bathrooms are clean (a bit of a walk from this cabin), and the pool is inviting. Being tall, the bunkbeds were a challenge, so maybe have the kids stay in this one. Very close to Cook County State Park and Allegheny National Forest for fantastic hiking. Cell phone…

Great state park

What a great park. Was there in order to go to nearby Cherry Springs SP which is a certified Dark Sky area, to see the stars. Cherry Springs is about 8 miles away. We like staying at Lyman Run since Cherry Springs gets filled pretty quickly. Lyman Run campground is great. There are 2 campgrounds,…

Long overdue honeymoon

We tent camped at site 76. Secluded and beautiful. We had the whole side of the upper loop to ourselves! Bumped up against the nature trail for a quick hike. We fished at the small section opposite the swimming area. We were alone the entire time! This park is well kept and very very clean.…

Solid choice for camping in ANF

This Koa is above average for KOA campgrounds. My biggest complaint is the sites are very close and offer little privacy

The Perfect Spot

We have a camper, but wanted to take the kids tent camping for a change, and this was the perfect place. It’s first come first serve, but we lucked out with a huge spot, shady, right beside the gorgeous creek, and also the closest to the toilet (which did occasionally send a slight scent our way,…

Nice place

Initially we booked site 97. Upon arrival we found out that 97 is no longer a camp site. We were moved to site 14 thankfully they had one spot available for a fully booked weekend.

Our site 14 was nice and large had some shade from trees. The camp ground had trash cans available in multiple…

Nostalgic

My family has headed to this spot for years… it family friendly, has decent fishing, miles of trails, and a small beach. Also zero cell reception! Check out Kinzua dam and Jakes Rock nearby.
