Nice Park

Great facilities. First time at an Arkansas state park and impressed.

Huge Park with Plenty to Do

It was a pleasure camping in our RV at Village Creek. We were initially given a spot in loop A, but moved to loop B to be closer to the playground and lake. Loop A was about 2.5 miles away - park is huge! The bathrooms in A looked brand new and really nice. In B, they were more average, but I still…

Arkansas State Parks Continue to Please

This huge park and campground area were easy to find. Check in was a breeze and we headed to back-in site 56 with FHUs. Backing in was easy in this premium campsite with stand up bbq, separate fire pit and patio. The sewer is at the back of most of these long pads so you need about 20’ of sewer…

It's okay

There's a smell due to the industrial zone right outside the park but, for a quick one night stay it ain't bad. We got a small spot, right next to the facilities which themselves, were okay. Planes go by regularly but didn't seem to be unbearably loud. The smell though...

Nice state park offering many amenities

General: This large state park has three camping loops, including one equestrian loop, for a total of 96 sites. All sites are reservable up to a year in advance (we usually try to camp during the off or shoulder season, but it was still necessary to make reservations as the loop filled up by…

Great camp near the City

We arrived late at night so didn’t get to see much in the evening—an odd feeling location as you drive through an industrial area but kind of cool trails in/around the camp.

We didn’t use much of the amenities so can’t comment too much on those.

Would stay here again.

This is a really nice state park

Very nice wooded campground and good space between campsites. We took one of the hiking trails to a lake within the park. We only stayed one night but would definitely consider returning.

10 minutes to Memphis

Had a fantastic time staying here Sep 2nd-6th, 2020. 10 minutes to Graceland. 20 minutes to Beale Street, 30 minutes to The Lorraine Motel. Bathrooms were very clean. Camphost was very nice and knew the area well. I believe he said he has been there since 96' The park is very well maintained but…

Don’t bother paying

I needed a place to stay and it was past the time to call and make a reservation, usually $26 i think, but i just pulled into an open spot and stayed for free. Good running water and quiet place. If you want to stay for free i recommend leaving before 8am to avoid getting ticketed.

Very Peaceful

Granted it is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so it was very quiet. Still nice campground. OK space between sites. Did not go to the bathhouse but from the outside looked clean. Like that they had recycling.

Loved It

We stayed 4 nights in the B loop FHU area. The sites there are large, and spaced out pretty well. Bathrooms were clean, park staff was great. The golf course here is really nice, hiking trails good as well.

If you stay in the B loop, you're about a two mile hike to the hiking trails fyi. The…

Unique Terrain, Sites Need Updates

We camped at Village Creek State Park in the Crowley’s Ridge region of Arkansas over Labor Day weekend. We booked two class B RV sites - one for ourselves and one for my husband’s parents - in advance. On our way to camp we got a call informing us that they had accidentally deleted one reservation…

Huge, Beautiful and Lots of Trails

Little to no AT&T cell signal. We were able to get 3-4 mbs with our hot spot plugged into an antenna about 10’ in the air. The people were great, all of the sites are spread out bathrooms are dated but well maintained. Firewood was pricey so I would bring your own.

Quieter place to camp

Quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Memphis. Odorous, there is a water treatment plant close by. We parked the mobile apartment, grabbed an Uber, and went to Graceland.

PS. Uber’s will take you to the Casino at Southland, but they will not pick you up. You have to use a taxi…
