Great facilities. First time at an Arkansas state park and impressed.
Village Creek has nearly 7,000 acres of forest hills, 33 miles of multi-use trails, playground for children, 2 lakes, Andy Dye designed 27 hole golf course, & visitor center & gift shop. The park has cabins as well as rv sites.
There are three main campgrounds: Loop A (no sewer hookups…

Ok forget the ever running trains not to far from back of campground or the 3 mile drive on a dirt and gravel road, this is a beautiful park. The river that runs through it has great fishing. (Just down from fish hatchery) Just wish they had sewer sites available. Staff was great and very friendly.…

It was a pleasure camping in our RV at Village Creek. We were initially given a spot in loop A, but moved to loop B to be closer to the playground and lake. Loop A was about 2.5 miles away - park is huge! The bathrooms in A looked brand new and really nice. In B, they were more average, but I still…

This huge park and campground area were easy to find. Check in was a breeze and we headed to back-in site 56 with FHUs. Backing in was easy in this premium campsite with stand up bbq, separate fire pit and patio. The sewer is at the back of most of these long pads so you need about 20’ of sewer…

General: This large state park has three camping loops, including one equestrian loop, for a total of 96 sites. All sites are reservable up to a year in advance (we usually try to camp during the off or shoulder season, but it was still necessary to make reservations as the loop filled up by…

The campground is nice and well maintained and sites are fairly well spaced with lots of grass, trees and open areas. The park staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in site 4 for 3 days. All of the sites looked quite level. There are quite a few depressions around the campground that filled…

Staff is so friendly and place is so clean and nice. Free fire wood and trash pickup at your site !
Very nice wooded campground and good space between campsites. We took one of the hiking trails to a lake within the park. We only stayed one night but would definitely consider returning.
Wonderful campground! Friendly park hosts. Great view. Very clean! Would definitely stay there again. Watch our video that has Craighead Forest Park https://youtu.be/Kw3BTjl8io8
We stayed 4 nights in the B loop FHU area. The sites there are large, and spaced out pretty well. Bathrooms were clean, park staff was great. The golf course here is really nice, hiking trails good as well.
If you stay in the B loop, you're about a two mile hike to the hiking trails fyi. The…
We stayed here over Veteran's Day weekend and had a pretty good time. We camped in site 54 which the website listed as a 45ft pad, but it was pretty difficult getting our 32ft camper in there. Only complaints would be- it was a small campsite, not alot of room around the firepit, and the only…

This was a pretty, uncrowded state park in Arkansas. Nice small pond with a good walking trail around it. The park was hard to get to, narrow/windy roads. I enjoyed my stay there and its great if its on your way from point A to point B.
We camped at Village Creek State Park in the Crowley’s Ridge region of Arkansas over Labor Day weekend. We booked two class B RV sites - one for ourselves and one for my husband’s parents - in advance. On our way to camp we got a call informing us that they had accidentally deleted one reservation…

10/10 would stay again. Pros- Easy to find. Definitely marked campsites. Trashcans. Water. Easy on and off US 67. No one bothered us. Even saw official people in the morning.
Cons- the overpass is right there so it’s not quiet. Someone’s dog barked ALL night. Not another camper- a local’s dog.
