SO MANY BUGS

As soon as we opened the truck doors I would estimate 12-15 sweat bees flew into the car. Additionally there were mosquitos and May flies all over. We were killing mosquitos in our truck the next day for about 5 hours of that trip. The sewage sat higher than my camper black/grey water so I had…

Starting to get a little run down but a nice park for r to he most part

This was one of the last parks available on the Memorial Day weekend. One of the great things for us was the proximity of some Arkansas State Parks such as Cane Creek and Arkansas Post. First we were in E campground and it was not very well taken care of. The pads for the campers were starting…

Very nice one nighter.

No frills, nice pull through sight for our 43’ 5th wheel. No cable, picnic table or bath house. However very easy hookups, free WiFi, low price and nice grass for our dog. Would definitely stay here again. Right next to Old Sawmill Cafe.

Convenient stopping place.

Right off I-40. Easy access and friendly management. Close to food, gas and shopping. Highway noise was not a problem. Pull through sites with plenty of room. We have been here two times. Call when you arrive and they will give you instructions

A place to park

This isn't a campground, but more of a place to park your RV if you have other things to do in the area or just need a place to park and sleep. Seems that many people come here for the Blues Festival. Sites are tight and no picnic tables or fire rings.

Excellent overnight

This place has easy access in and off of I40 and Hwy 63. It is full hook-up and nothing else. You call for a reservation and the lady comes by for payment.

The sewer hook-up is a little far if you are towing a ca behind and RV.

No frills to pay for.

Gorgoeus park with fun activities

We visited Cane Creek over Memorial Day weekend. The sites were level. We did have several fire ant hills that we had to deal with and quite a few red wasps. We were able to watch numerous birds (pileated woodpeckers) and even saw a swamp rat swimming in the lake (resembles a beaver with a skinny…

Cane Creek

We are from Star City so we have visited the park often but finally decided to camp there and it was so nice. The campgrounds are nice and the visitors center offers fun activities for the kids.

A quiet and pleasant place

I grew up in Star City and have been to this park many times. It is not a breathtaking place, but it accurately portrays the nature of south Arkansas. I have seen ducks, deer armadillos and eagles live here as well. The playgrounds are good. The pavilions are clean and the AC works well. Halloween…

2 Many Bugs

We visited this park twice. The first time it was great. The second time it was unbearable because a hurricane had blown in trillions of "love bugs". Our visit was during the bugs' mating season. The bugs were so thick that you could not even go outside your camper without getting a mouth full,…

  • Inlaw's site again.
  • "Love Bugs" that were blown in by the hurricane. This was inside our screen room. Outside they were so thick that they made the sky black.
